Lead Process Engineer (Offshore) / Study Manager

Our client work was established in 1976. They work in leading professional services to the resources & energy sectors and complex process industries. Our client is a leading international project management company that is stable and successful.

They are looking to recruit a Lead Process Engineer (Offshore) / Study Manager to be based in Qatar.

Qualifications:

  1. Engineering Degree in Chemical.
  2. 15 years minimum experience in process engineering with 7 years minimum experience in engineering design consultancy.
  3. Must have at least 5 years' offshore design project experience.
  4. Proficient in PFD / P & ID.
  5. Expert in process simulation packages such as HYSIS, PROII, Flarenet.
  6. Must have at least 5 years work experience as a LEAD.
  7. Experience in various phases of project life cycle; feasibility/concept studies, FEED, detail engineering, EPIC.

Responsibilities:

  1. Consultant with conceptual experience (offshore greenfield / brownfield) of undertaking various studies to be a technical authority to support portfolio teams on technical and design issues.
  2. Consultant will undertake/guiding the portfolio teams on strategic studies involving flare and blowdown assessment, topsides modification, and production and capacity studies.
  3. Consultant will guide the portfolio teams to implement Company, and where applicable, Client/Project policies and procedures to ensure integrity solution delivered meets the cost, schedule, and quality criteria.
  4. Assist portfolio teams on new scopes and help them with methodology, schedule, and execution sequence.
  5. Undertake the approval and checking requirements of the design/engineering documentation.
  6. Provide technical assistance to Business Development strategies, activities, and initiatives.
  7. Review and enhance processes and systems for wider use within the respective portfolio.
  8. Undertake training of less experienced engineers, including duties as a mentor.
  9. Ensure work is carried out in accordance with relevant Codes, Standards, and Procedures.
  10. Assist portfolio teams with the technical integrity of deliverables on the project.
  11. Maintain and develop current awareness of relevant Codes and Standards within the portfolio teams.
  12. Support portfolio teams with other disciplines, departments, project personnel, vendors, and clients, when required.
