Administration
Roles, responsibilities, and expectations:

  • Responsible for the recruitment, leading and development of the Advancement team in support of the school's mission and the delivery of the agreed key performance indicators.
  • Conduct annual evaluation and ensure that all members of the team have access to appropriate professional development opportunities.
  • Monitor the operations of the team and regularly updating the key stakeholders.
  • Oversee the development of key policies, strategies and practices that are in line with the school policies and procedures.

School Admissions

  • Oversee the admissions process in accordance with the school's Admissions Policy.
  • Design the experience of admissions at ISL Qatar to enhance the school's reputation.
  • Meet enrolment targets as outlined in the annual budget and school's long-term plans.
  • Provide data-informed reports on enrolment, as well as broader market trends.
  • Lead the periodic review of the Admissions Policy, in collaboration with the Head of Administration.

Communications and Collaboration

  • Oversee all school communications in accordance with the school's Communications Policy.
  • Maintain and communicate clear guidelines of the school's brand, use of social media and official publications.
  • Maintain and develop the school's website and all other communication platforms, both internally and externally.
  • Build and engage with the school's alumni network to support the school's mission and priorities.
  • Regularly gather feedback from all stakeholders by means of a coordinated feedback strategy.

Budget, Ordering and Resource Management

  • Set budgets and allocate resources based on priorities and focus.
  • Budget, organize and manage external relations to support a strong, positive image of ISL Qatar.
  • Budget and oversee the different events of the school including marketing and promotional activities as well as fundraising events.

Strategic Leadership

The Head of Advancement role will provide strategic leadership over admissions, communications, marketing, and alumni engagement. S/he will spearhead the development and execution of comprehensive advancement strategies that are aligned with the school's mission, vision, and core values. S/he will ensure that all advancement programs and initiatives comply with school policies and standards, facilitating a cohesive and effective approach to achieving institutional objectives. S/he will play an active role in preparing for IB authorisations, evaluations, and accreditation visits, leveraging his/her expertise in outreach and community-building to enhance the school's reputation and visibility. The Head of Advancement may also be assigned other relevant tasks by the Head of Administration and/or the Head of School.

Requirements Qualifications and Experience: The school prefers people who:

  • Possess a bachelor's degree (required).
  • Possess a minimum of three years Director of Advancement, or other advancement positions.
  • Demonstrate vision and lead the development and implementation of the school's strategic plan providing motivation and direction.
  • Demonstrate successful experience to conceptualize, plan and cohesively integrate a full range of advancement programmes.
  • Demonstrate a growth mindset and be strategically responsible for brand reputation management, school admissions and enrolment, marketing and communications (internal and external), alumni relations and fundraising community engagements.
  • Possess international experience and/or experience working in a diverse, multicultural environment.
  • Exemplify excellent interpersonal skills with proven experience of fostering a positive school spirit amongst students, staff and the wider community.
