The purpose of thisrole is to support the successful delivery of BAE Systemscontractual Training responsibilities across the TyphoonAvailability Service Operation at Dukhan Air Force Base (AFB) inQatar.

Therole is responsible for monitoring and reporting againstcontractual training performance and assisting with theestablishment of Project Controlprocedures methods and systems ensuring their appropriateapplication.

Theincumbent will be required to gather synthesise & integrateinformation relating to performance (cost resources and outputs)monitor and report progress against plans identify trends analyseand interpret data and information to ensure all data andinformation is accurate generate and publish regular reportsincluding contract review packs with recommendations to seniormanagers.

Therole also oversee high priority or special projects as directed;responsible for providing analysis guidance and direction withinareas of expertise. This position will anticipate escalate andsolve management and business problemsindependently.


CoreActivity andResponsibilities

ContractedTrainingDelivery:

Define anddeliver contracted training solutions whilst maximising operationalefficiency and minimisingcosts;

Coordinatecontrol and report all training pipeline progression andperformance indicators/metrics to monitorBAE Systems contractual trainingperformance;

Actas the key interface with Qatari customer for all contractualtraining requirements anddeliverables;

Ensure that thecoordinated training programme aligns to the customer BFP/R (GFx)Manpower commitments to support operationaldelivery.

Coordinate andcontrol of contractual scope changerequirements;

Ensure that allstakeholders in particular the customer community are appropriatelybriefed and understand the contractual trainingservice;

Support to theAccountable Training Manager in ensuring compliance to theQAF AviationRegulations;

Provide PMsupport to the Typhoon Training Facility (TTF)Operation;

Manage andreport compliance to mandated Aircraft Maintenance Training and BAESystems Operational Frameworkrequirements.


ProjectManagement &Control:

Consolidate andsynthesise complex programme information from both internal andexternal stakeholders including but not limitedto:

oResponsible forthe project management of the Dukhan AFB Operation delivering allonbase reporting and control ofcosts;

oPrepare inputsfor the Contract Status Reports(CSR);

oReview andratify risk and opportunityprovisions;

oGenerate andmaintain integrated programmeschedules;

oSupport reviewsincluding but not limited to PDRs QCRs QBRs risk &opportunity Change Control Boards Business Operations and customerPRMs;


Additionalresponsibilities /Activities:

Internal andexternal meeting coordination and Customer Relationshipmanagement

Ensurecompliance with the mandated BAE Systems Governance Frameworkincluding but not limited to; Life Cycle Management (LCM) BusinessContinuity Management (BCM) Incident Management (IM) Gifts& Hospitality (G&H) Responsible Document RecordManagement (RDRM) Export Control SHE etal.



Requirements

FunctionalKnowledge &Experience:

Experienced andindepth Project Management & Control knowledge andtechniques in an Operational Aircraft Maintenance trainingenvironment ispreferred;

High level of MSOffice knowledge andapplication;

ProgrammeReportingexperience;

Understandingand appreciation of operating in a customerfocused organisation inthe MiddleEast;

Commercial andContractualAwareness;

PurchasingProcess and Export controlawareness;

Contract StatusReporting(CSRs).


BusinessExpertise:

Understandingand appreciation of each function operating within an aircraftmaintenance operational Availability Service and mandated trainingrequirements;

Appreciation ofProject Management practises managing cost time andquality;

Understanding ofcontract management;

Strongorganisational skills and proven project managementexperience;

Stronginterpersonal and communication skills written andverbal;

Demonstratedability to plan organise coordinate and direct multiple projectsand activities with varieddeadlines;

Good judgmentand sensitivity to confidential documents issues and information;and

High level ofdiplomacy tact and discretion. Understands ethical issues and has aproven high level ofintegrity.


Qualifications:

Roles typicallyrequire a university degree or an extensive amount of practicalknowledge gained throughexperience;

Proficient levelof English written &verbal.

High level ofcritical thinking required to work across a number of stakeholdersboth internal and external to resolve issues and deliver in linewith customer expectations whilst maintaining ContractedOperationalperformance;
