Inspection Method EngineerSITUATION INORGANIZATIONPosition N+1: Lead, Inspection MethodsPosition N+2:Head, InspectionACCOUNTABILITIESTo develop and implement Inspectionstrategies, procedures and reports to ensure that fitness forservice of offshore installation is known and degradationmechanisms are evaluated to define short, medium and long termsremedial/mitigation measures.ACTIVITIESThe many and variedactivities include:• Identify the specific threats to eachitem of equipment.• Ensure that fitness for serviceanalyses are in place for downgraded equipment.• Ensurethat temporary repairs in place have been properly engineered andare fit for service.• Ensure that any required mitigationsystems have been applied, monitor and report backaccordingly.• Ensure that Inspection activities workload& resources strategy are adequate by:• Havingvisibility of inspection activities workload for the wholeyear.• Use means to control & monitor progress ofexecution and backlog (i.e S-curve).• Setting up cultureto perform inspection on overdue integrityrecommendations.• Assure the integrity of the data held inthe inspection management system(s).• Contribute to thedevelopment of a robust RBI strategy for Topsideequipment.• Lead RBI program ensuring that the baselineremains auditable, and that subsequent inspection results arecaptured and re-run accordingly.• Contribute to andsupport Fabric Maintenance and Corrosion Under Insulationinitiatives.• Prepare relevant KPI s and ensure their usefor improvement actions and Mgt visibility.• Remainupdated on development of new inspection techniques to ensureIntegrity of equipment.• Support deferrals of equipmentvia FFS analysis, integrity statement drafting and sitecollaboration to define risk.• Proactively monitor, reviewand analyze plant and equipment performance and providefeedback.• Provide the Team Lead with regular reports withanalysis and comment on performance and results.CONTEXT ANDENVIRONMENTDoha (Qatar) office.Standard office hours, 5 days aweek.Trip to offshore and visit to OEM/service company workshop arerequired on ah-hoc basis.QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCEREQUIRED• Degree qualified minimum BEng / BSc in arelevant Discipline.• Certification to RBI related API580/581 preferred with a strong working knowledge of itsprinciples.• Certification in API 510 (static equipment)& 570 (piping) also beneficial, else a strong workingknowledge.• Minimum 5 years experience in the Oil& Gas sector in a similar role.• Strong workingknowledge of ASME VIII (BPV Code), ASME B31.1 (piping code) andASME PCC-2 (repair code).• Broad knowledge of standard andadvanced NDT techniques; their application andlimitations.• Clear understanding of IntegrityManagement.• Clear understanding of Fitness For Serviceprinciples for pressurized systems.• Fluent in written andspoken English.• SAP CMMS, Credosoft IMS and FAME+ RBIsoftware experience an advantage.• Working knowledge ofinternational codes and standards pertinent to inspection andintegrity field.• Practical inspection/integritybackground including plant based experience
