Carnegie MellonUniversity in Qatar is a branch campus that operates in concertwith several other American and European branch campuses under theumbrella of the Qatar Foundation’s Education City. Thebranch campus closely follows the admissions requirements andEnglish language curriculum of the home campus, which awards alldegrees. The several thousand students in Education City are abroad mix of nationalities but primarily come from the Middle East,North Africa, and South Asia. CMUQ’s faculty is a mix ofprofessionals hired specifically to the campus and additionalfaculty from the main campus. CMUQ’s primary focus isundergraduate education in Business Administration, BiologicalSciences, Computer Science, and Information Systems.
