About the position:The Area Manager willbeaccountable for the operation of Salon shop(s) and achievingtheoperational performance targets within the approved budget whileatall-times ensuring the integrity of the brand. He/she shallmanagethe shop employees' performance, in the Companyvaluesamong them and promote teamwork to ensure the delivery ofexcellentcustomer services.Essential Duties&Responsibilities:Ensures that day to day operations ofsalon(s) isadhering to Standard Operating Procedures(SOPs)Maximizesoperational efficiency and ensures compliance withqualityassurance policies and proceduresProvides personalizedapproach toclients and staff, identifying and resolving urgentissuesProposesto Managing Partners initiatives and changes thatwill improve thebusiness such as operating hours, services,products,merchandising, expansion opportunitiesProposes to ManagingPartnersnew best practices and trends to enhance existing ones andcreatenew standards policies and proceduresAnalyzes and approvesthestaffing rosterEnsures that staff adheres to the companyprescribedgrooming and presentation standardsEnsures high standardofcleanliness and proper maintenance of shop facilities.Drivestheachievement of excellent customer services throughcontinuousimprovement initiativesEnsures that the salon(s) create acustomerservice culture by guiding employees to become problemsolvers,cooperative and accommodatingProvides input on developingrelevantservices and treatments, including setting treatmentprotocols andselecting products for use in the treatments and forretailsaleEnsures that all staff follows the standards andprocedures foreach service they provideExercises promptness inresolving customercomplaints and comments/feedback.Monitorscustomer satisfaction byconducting surveys which includes focusgroups and commentcardsAnticipates, identifies and ensures thatcustomer needs andexpectations are met in the best possiblewayControls theoperational expenses and facilitates product marginanalysis toensure profitabilityMaximizes sales by introducingrevenuegenerating strategies and communicating to the team theprojectedrevenue targets for treatments and retailUsesinformationtechnology to record sales for data analysisandplanningAdministers staff and client scheduling for maximumrevenuegeneration and profitabilityInterprets Financial Reportsandprovides expertise on the analysis of (projected) Revenuevs.Expenses.Ensures that all employees are well trained fortheirrespective positions by coordinating relevant traininganddevelopment with the HR DepartmentCoaches and develops stafftomaximize their potentialProposes new rules and proceduresforemployees to follow which includes policies in the workplaceandensures effective implementationEnsures that staff issuesaretimely communicated to HR Department for appropriateactionConductsemployee performance appraisalsMaintains the optimumproducts stocklevel at all times to ensure a smooth and financiallyeffectiveoperationSuggests improvements to visualmerchandisingMaintainsawareness of market trends and techniques inthe grooming industry,understanding forthcoming customer needs, andmonitoring localcompetitors marketing activitiesCoordinates withManaging Partnersand Shop(s) Supervisors regarding promotionalprograms andmarketing initiatives;Suggests ideas that will improvecustomerloyaltyProvides input to Marketing Department on organisingpublicrelations, promotional and marketing events to drivecustomervisits and sales.Skills and Qualifications: Bachelor sdegree inmanagement or equivalentCertification in Beauty Therapy orrelatedcoursesMinimum 5 years of relevant work experience inmanageriallevel3 years experience in any related industry e.g. spa,retail,hospitality is a mustTechnical Skills i.e. knowledge innail, faceand body services;Highly proficient in PlanningandOrganizingExcellent verbal and written communicationskillsAcutefinancial skills, experience with budget and businessplandevelopmentAnalytical skills to evaluate data and makebothoperational and strategic decisionsStrong leadership,motivationaland people skills, team-player demonstratingcollaborativeapproach
