Kuwait College of Science and Technology isfully licensed by the nation’s Ministry of HigherEducation/Private Universities Council and started its operation in2016 offering degrees in Computer Science, Computer Engineering andElectronics and Communications Engineering. In 2022, the studentpopulation exceeded 1800, and the first cohort of engineers hasgraduated. The University has an outstandingly high research outputin the context of the private universities in the Region. One ofthe cornerstones of the University’s strategy is“Engineering with Leadership”, which means thatthe University aims to produce engineering graduates who are awareand conversant with management theory and techniques. Thus, itscurrent engineering curricula already contains significant portionsof economics, management, and entrepreneurship. In the near future,a new Faculty of Business Management will be launched. TheDepartment of Foundation is recruiting ambitious academics with aproven track record in teaching. Job Vacancy Physics Lecturer(Local candidates Only) Candidates are required to teach andprovide guidance to students in foundation physics. They areresponsible for preparing and presenting lectures, creating, andsupervising examinations, and marking examination papers. DUTIESAND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Teach the assigned classes inFoundation programs including independent lectures and tutorialsand/or lab session. • Teaching responsibilities aregoverned by department needs and will be determined every term bythe Director of the Foundation Program. • Develop coursesyllabi and class materials in the assigned courses in coordinationwith course coordinator and Director of Foundation Program.• Participate in the review of Quizzes, Midterm, and FinalExaminations • Prepare multiple Final Exam versions, ifrequired. • Attending and contributing to meetings orevents relating to the department. • Any other taskassigned to you by your Director of Foundation Program All dutiesand responsibilities shall be carried out under the direction ofyour Course Coordinator and are subject to evaluation by yourDirector of Foundation Program. SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES ARE EXPECTEDTO HAVE: • Min. Master’s degree in Physics orMaterials Science/Engineering or Electrical Engineering from areputed and international accredited University. • Minimum2-4 years’ experience in the same field or high school.• Strong written and spoken English communication skills.• Computer Literacy • Having high attention tostudents and their needs • Creativity and Self-Motivation• Professional attitude towards work and colleagues.• Experience in the supervision of students’projects. • Experience in teaching in the Middle East andGCC preferably and acute awareness of cross- cultural differencesin the worlds of teaching and learning
