Component Supervisor

The Component Spray Bay Supervisor will be anexperienced and skilled Paint Supervisor, undertaking a range ofdetailed maintenance activities in the Aircraft Component SprayBay.

The post holder will beresponsible for maintaining airworthiness through appropriate taskdelegation and authorisation on the Aircraft Component Spray Bayactivities and will be able to demonstrate awareness of broaderexternal dependencies and identify areas for continuousimprovement.

CoreActivities

• Undertaking and completing tasks inthe Component Spray Bay that includes recovering surfaces ofaircraft panels and components aswell as recovering the surfacefinish of the Typhoon aircraft at 1st lineoperations.
• Stand up the Component Spray Bayactivities/capability in Qatar.
• Demonstrate aflexible and proactive attitude to carrying out responsibilitiesappropriate to the role and take directionappropriately.
• Ensuring staff are sufficientlycompetent and approved for the maintenance tasks allocated to them.Maintain personal & teams task authorisation for working onan aircraft or components in accordance with AMCrequirements.
• Responsible for meeting agreeddelivery targets in the short to medium term through thesupervision of others. Progress reporting against delivery targetsto management.
• Provide guidance and leadershipto the team. Develop team members using formal assessmentprocesses, e.g. Performance Reviews, supports and sponsors trainingrequests including ‘on the job training’.Demonstrate sound and comprehensive communication and peoplemanagement skills.
• Maintaining personal andteams task authorisation for working on an aircraft or componentsin accordance with QAFrequirements.
• Maintaining a personal Log Bookto demonstrate currency on completion of On the Job training (OJT)activities, sign other personnel’s logbooks asappropriate within your trade and skills boundaries. If you are anapproved designated assessor, undertake authorisation and taskcompetency approvals, and check Pt 145 license application packsprior to submission.
• Undertaking support taskswithin the Component Spray Bay facility, which are required tomaintain compliance with the MOE procedures (e.g. oversight checks,control of tooling/test equipmentetc).
• Undertaking fault evaluation and raise adhoc work cards for ‘found faults’ duringmaintenance.

KeyAccountabilities

• Performanceindicators – Ensure the effectivemanagement of Regulatory activities by setting delivery targets,monitoring progress and developing performance improvementprogrammes. Prioritises activities within/across teams to maximiseefficiency. Responsible for the assessment of escalated issues forany impact on Continuing Airworthiness and generating effectiveresolution, or sponsoring escalation to management, asappropriate.
• Completion ofactivities – Ensure all maintenanceactivities are appropriately documented and airworthiness recordsare maintained on relevant systems (IT/paper based). Compilerequired reporting, identify any issues and escalate asappropriate.
• Procedure/standards– Comply with the regulatory framework, and associatedprocedures and standards, and any other company procedures andstandards, as applicable. Identify and propose changes, asrequired.
