Client focus – Deliver on our promise: • You will manage the delivery of key assignments and defined business areas, providing strategic direction and monitoring delivery aligned with overall vision and objectives. • You will be accountable for the preparation of contract documents, warranties, bonds and licenses to achieve formal execution by appropriate parties. • You will manage to cost associated with design changes, contract awards, construction activities and client charges, and present these to clients. You’ll be responsible for: • Managing the performance of all operations from a commercial and finance perspective. • Monitoring financial performance, financial analysis (including trend analysis) and preparing project performance reports and recommendations for the executive team. • Developing and supervising the implementation of and adherence to the commercial management plan, subcontract management plant and project risk management plan. • Monitoring, reviewing, and keeping relevant parties informed on the timeliness, cost, revenue, risk, progress, and performance of the project. • Liaising with the construction team to ensure commercial processes and operations are as effective, efficient, and transparent as possible. • Overseeing the procurement and commercial structure/framework for the project. • Developing and monitoring the subcontractor and supply agreement process. • Evaluating business improvement opportunities and making recommendations to reduce costs, increase productivity, improve economic value-added and increase earnings before interest, taxes, and amortisation. • Ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures in relation to legal, financial and administration matters - the standard of internal control and policies. • Setting direction and providing clear and timely feedback to direct reports on their performance. You’ll need to have: • Recognised degree in Quantity Surveying / Engineering/Construction Management. • Extensive of formal quantity surveying and relevant experience in cost and commercial management of workplace/office HQ fit-out projects. • Registered as a Chartered Quantity Surveyor or equivalent. • Knowledge of building construction, quantity surveying, contracts, procurement, and dispute resolution is required. You’ll need also: • Degree in quantity surveying/cost management (or equivalent). • Professional membership or working towards i.e. MRICS/RICS, or equivalent demonstrable professional or personal development. • Experience in business development. • Developed commercial and financial acumen. • Knowledge of value engineering, life cycle costing, contract law and contractual frameworks relating to construction. • Experience leading parts of projects within large, diverse teams. • Developing experience of managing relationships with key senior stakeholders. • Knowledge of how carbon and sustainability considerations will shape the outlook of the projects you are working on.
