Mandatory Tools: SonicWall Firewall Fortinet Firewall and FortiWAF
Job Description:
We are looking for a seasoned Senior Security Device Management Specialist with over 7 years of experience to oversee the operations and maintenance of our security devices ensuring the integrity and effectiveness of our cybersecurity infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing and maintaining security devices such as Sonicwall Firewall Fortinet Firewall and FortiWAF along with a proven track record of proactive management timely updates and policy enforcement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operations Management: Oversee the daytoday operations of security devices including SonicWall Firewall Fortinet Firewall and FortiWAF ensuring their optimal performance and reliability.
- Proactive Maintenance: Conduct proactive breakfix services regular maintenance and timely software updates and patches to ensure the security devices are operating at peak efficiency and effectiveness.
- Dynamic Policy Management: Manage and maintain security policies rulesets and configurations across all monitored security devices ensuring alignment with business requirements compliance mandates and emerging threats.
- Policy Review and Update: Regularly review and update security policies to align with changing business needs regulatory compliance requirements and evolving threat landscapes.
- Patch Management: Manage and apply patches firmware updates and security patches to security devices in a timely manner to address vulnerabilities and ensure the devices remain secure against emerging threats.
- Reporting and Metrics: Generate regular reports on security device performance incidents alerts and operational metrics to provide visibility into the effectiveness of security controls and support decisionmaking processes.
- Security Enhancement: Provide actionable insights and recommendations to enhance the organizations security posture based on analysis of security device performance incidents and emerging threats.
- Vendor Coordination: Coordinate with vendors for support maintenance and escalation of issues related to security devices ensuring timely resolution of technical issues and alignment with service level agreements (SLAs).
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field.
- 7 years of experience in security device management with a focus on SonicWALL Firewall Fortinet Firewall and FortiWAF.
- Proficiency in managing and maintaining security policies rulesets and configurations across multiple security devices.
- Strong understanding of networking principles and protocols along with handson experience in firewall administration and configuration.
- Experience in managing patching processes firmware updates and security patches for security devices.
- Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues related to security device management.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate with crossfunctional teams stakeholders and external vendors.
- Relevant certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) or vendorspecific certifications (e.g. Sonicwall Network Security Administrator Fortinet Network Security Expert) would be a plus.
