About the role

We are recruiting for Quality Assurance Engineer Level 2 to be based in Doha, Qatar.

Quality Assurance Engineer Level 2 is responsible to ensure that constant maintenance standards applied to QTR and Customer aircraft are satisfied to the requirements to QCAR Parts 145, M and 147 and EASA Parts 145 and 147.

Specific responsibilities of the role include:
Operational

Carry out planned and ad-hoc quality surveillance, audits independently when performing such tasks individually or under Senior Quality Assurance Engineer when part of team to identify and record any finding; initiate/recommend solutions and report audit result to the Manager Quality System via SQAE as part of ongoing Quality Assurance Program.

Follow up and verify the implementation of corrective action within specified timescales to ensure company’s product and performance meet acceptable standards and make recommendation as necessary.

Review regulatory changes and update keeping current company technical procedures and manuals (MOE, TPM, ASL, LSM, CAME, MTOE, RAC & Capability register) in consultation of Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to maintain quality standards to acceptable levels.

Be involved in preparation of Quality notices and Quality leaflets.

Update and maintain company authorization system for authorization approvals to provide staff appropriately qualified and trained as required by QCAR/EASA & Customers regulations.

Participate in the Assessment Boards (technical, procedures, and practical) for the purpose of granting/extending/renewing Qatar Airways authorisations for certifying staff, support staff and non-Aircraft Authorised staff.

Be involved in review of occurrence reports generated from within technical or externally assigned to technical to ensure they are investigated to find the root cause and related recommendation are addressed to mitigate re-occurrence.

Carry out extension of Airworthiness Review Certificate of Qatar Airways operated aircrafts as per authorization

Attend meetings as directed by Manager Quality System to delegate Quality Assurance Section.

Review technical quality related other sections/department or companies queries and report recommendations to the Manager Quality System.

Communicate effectively with internal and external customers in consultation with Senior Quality Assurance Engineer when required. Ensure quality related matters and airworthiness concerns are actioned accordingly to QR standards.

Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department.

About you

Qualifications and Experience:
Degree (B. Eng., BSc in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics or Aeronautical Engineering), or Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering with ICAO type II license.

QCAA / EASA Part 145, M, & 147 training.

Quality audit training.

Received training on at least 2 aircraft types operated by Qatar Airways

Previous Experience:
External: 9 years of job related experience in Quality Assurance / maintenance / continued airworthiness environment / quality auditing

Minimum 2 years as an internal /certified auditor.

9 years’ experience in the Quality Assurance.

Job Specific Skills:
Detailed knowledge of air legislation, particularly ICAO, QCAA, EASA & FAA Regulations

Detailed Knowledge of Quality & Safety systems, continued airworthiness and aircraft maintenance fundamentals.

Problem solving abilities with analytical skills.

Good English communication skills both written and verbal.

Conversant with use of computers and AirNav & My Boeing Fleet.
