We are seeking a skilled and reliable Cold Storage & Reefer Container Technician to maintain and repair refrigerated containers (reefers) and cold storage units. The technician will ensure the efficient operation of these units by performing regular inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs, while adhering to industry safety standards.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Perform regular maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of refrigerated containers (reefers) and cold storage equipment.
- Inspect and diagnose electrical and mechanical issues related to refrigeration units, temperature control systems, and associated components.
- Monitor and maintain proper temperature settings for reefers and cold storage units, ensuring they meet operational standards and safety requirements.
- Repair or replace malfunctioning components such as compressors, condensers, fans, and electrical controls.
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks, including cleaning condenser coils, checking refrigerant levels, and ensuring the efficient operation of refrigeration systems.
- Ensure all cold storage and reefer equipment complies with safety regulations and industry standards, including handling refrigerants and electrical systems safely.
- Test and calibrate temperature monitoring systems to ensure accurate readings and operational efficiency.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections using maintenance management software or logbooks.
- Work closely with warehouse or operations teams to identify potential issues and ensure timely resolution to minimize downtime.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical circuits, mechanical systems, and refrigeration units within strict timelines to maintain temperature-sensitive goods.
- Handle emergency breakdowns, providing quick and effective solutions to reduce potential damage to stored goods.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and safety regulations related to cold storage and refrigeration systems.
- Ensure compliance with all environmental, health, and safety regulations during maintenance and repair activities.

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent. Technical certification or diploma in refrigeration, electrical, or mechanical engineering is preferred.
- Proven experience as a reefer container technician, refrigeration technician, or similar role (minimum of 2-3 years).
- In-depth knowledge of refrigeration systems, electrical circuits, temperature control systems, and mechanical components.
- Familiarity with cold storage equipment, reefer containers, and temperature monitoring devices.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work with mínimal supervision.
- Proficient in using diagnostic tools, electrical testers, and refrigeration system charging equipment.
- Understanding of safety standards, environmental regulations, and best practices in handling refrigerants and hazardous materials.
- Strong communication skills to interact with team members, supervisors, and other departments.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, particularly under pressure during emergency situations.
- Flexibility to work in varying shifts, weekends, and on-call as required.

**Work Environment**:

- Cold storage or warehouse environment with exposure to low temperatures.
- May involve working outdoors or in confined spaces, depending on the job requirements.
- Shift work and availability for emergency repairs may be required.
