**ROLE SUMMARY**:
To monitor premises ensuring implementation of procedures and systems to prevent, reduce losses due to theft, fraud, damages, or process failure. Assist in developing policies, procedures, and systems for safeguarding assets.

**FUNCTIONAL ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Monitor processes to reduce property or financial losses
- Investigate known or suspected internal theft, external theft, or vendor fraud
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies to report or investigate crimes
- Conduct store audits with Loss Prevention and Audit Officer to identify problem areas or procedural deficiencies
- Direct work of contact with third-party security officers
- Identify and report merchandise or stock shortages
- Inspect all stores, equipment, or access points to determine security risks
- Maintain documentation or reports on security related incidents or investigations
- Monitor compliance with standard operating procedures for Loss Prevention, physical security, or risk management
- Perform covert surveillance of areas susceptible to loss
- Prepare written reports on investigations
- Recommend new or improved processes or equipment to reduce risk exposure
- Facilitate approved in store training sessions for all store-based employees to improve their effectiveness in reducing shrinkage
- Verify proper functioning of physical security systems, such as closed-circuit televisions, alarms, sensor tag systems or locks
- Apprehend shoplifters in accordance with guidelines
- Conduct employee background investigations and review reports with HR, Loss Prevention and Audit Officer and Operations
- Identify and report safety concerns to maintain a safe shopping and working environment
- Recommend methods to reduce potential financial fraud losses
- Respond to critical incidents.

**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES**

**Education Qualifications**
Graduate, preferably Certification in Loss Prevention & Security Management

**Experience**
2 - 3 years’ experience in a similar role

**Skills**
- Exposure/awareness of local regulations governing safety & security issues and apprehension/detention of suspects
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Excellent English language skills
- Great team player and communication skills
- A driving license would be an advantage
