**JOB DESCRIPTION**

**Nesting Officer - Steel Fabrication Division**

**Qualification**
- Degree / Diploma in Computer Science.

**Experience**
- Minimum 4 to 6-year of experience as a nesting officer in structural steel fabrication industry.
- Well versed in steel CNC machineries including: Plate Processing Machines (Plasma, Water jet, Oxy fuel Cutting), Profile Cutting Machines (preferably Voortman), Sheet Bending Machines, Automated Welding Machines/ Lines.
- GCC experience is preferable.

**Skill Required**
- Reading and interpreting blueprints to determine programming parameters.
- Employee should have good AutoCAD knowledge.
- Employee should have good knowledge of Computer Numerical control & PLC system.
- Adjusting and setting machine parameters to ensure 100% accuracy.

**Added Advantage**:

- Preparation of basic fabrication drawings.
- Must have strong math skills.
- Must have computer software kills.

**Responsibilities**
- Read technical drawings and set up the machines in accordance with the blueprints.
- Use computer software to model cutting paths and program machines accordingly.
- Adjust machine cutting paths or settings to optimize production while maintaining quality.
- Consider tools required to cut particular materials and program machines accordingly.
- Troubleshoot and resolve problems with machines as they arise.
- Perform basic machine maintenance.
- Train new employees on how to properly operate CNC machines and programs.
- Identify and make requisition for machine consumables and spare parts.
- Identify breakdowns and communicate with machine manufacturer / supplier to solve the issue.
