Background

Ooredoo is entering a new phase in its lifecycle where operational and commercial excellence has become critical for success. The urgency for change has become more heightened amidst increased competitive intensity across all markets in which Ooredoo operates. The Group’s ESS transformation programme must therefore ensure the successful delivery of the transformation in context of:
Alignment of the Program objectives with the overall Ooredoo strategy

Rapidly changing ICT environment

Management of executive and shareholder expectations across the OpCos throughout the transformation

Management of employee, customer and supplier expectations

Constant dynamics and local challenges in the economic, regulatory and legal environments

This position will work with the Ooredoo Group Leadership Team, the Opco CEOs and direct reports, the position holder will be accountable for the successful delivery of ESS Transformation Program by managing the Program Support Office. The program aims to implement a unified way of working across Finance, Sourcing and Human Resources with clear roles and responsibilities that eliminates redundancy and promotes efficiency.

The role will ensure a coordinated approach throughout Ooredoo, enabling Ooredoo operations to execute their mandates effectively. Role Profile

Establish the Program Support Office and develop the required methodologies, procedures and policies necessary for successfully launching and operating the Program Support Office

Operate the Program Support Office for the ESS Program to lead, govern, and drive execution to ensure the program delivers in line with the program strategy and objectives and aligned with the success measures identified.

Effective and cohesive management of the relationship with the Systems Integrator.

Participate in governance forums and make decisions in a timely fashion to ensure timely delivery

Provide approval / feedback to strategic recommendations and priorities leveraging strategic planning as an input to decision making

Support the Design and roll out the program methodology to manage the ESS Program

Establish the processes to effectively drive the day-to-day activities of the program through the PMO and Delivery team

Supervise and monitor the progress of work during all phases of delivery

Provide visibility of external influences that may impact priorities.

Manage program resources effectively to achieve deliverables and milestones as planned

Oversee committee management including preparing, compiling and sharing all necessary documents required for committee meetings. Scheduling committee meetings and supporting with coordination activities for running effective committee meetings is a key responsibility.

Drive the review and acceptance of interim and final deliverables
Experience

Minimum Experience & Essential Knowledge

10 years of Senior Management Experience

Minimum 3 years of Transformation experience

Minimum 5 years in sector industry

Work across diverse cultures and geographies

Proven track record of business improvement

High performing individual in a line management position, with strong standing to be perceived as peer for most management levels

Understanding of functional areas and/or products associated with specific initiative

Ability to drive change management work stream in a project context with limited guidance

Sound business judgment to ensure cultural aspirations are well integrated in performance improvement activities

Sufficient financial knowledge to understand business cases and consequences on P&L, balance sheet and cash flow

Ability to coach and train, including conducting group and one to one training

High level of energy and creativity for transformation, willingness to go the extra mile

**Qualifications**:
Minimum Qualifications

University degree, Master’ preferred

Fluent English - Arabic and French is a plus
