**Design and Planning**:

- Collaborate with architects and other engineering disciplines to develop Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) designs for buildings.
- Ensure that MEP systems meet building codes, standards, and client requirements.
- **Project Management**:

- Oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of MEP systems in buildings.
- Coordinate with contractors, technicians, and other stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- **System Maintenance**:

- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
- **Energy Efficiency**:

- Implement energy-efficient strategies and technologies to reduce the environmental impact and operating costs of MEP systems.
- Conduct energy audits and recommend improvements.
- **Code Compliance**:

- Ensure that all MEP systems adhere to local building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
- **Troubleshooting**:

- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with MEP systems and implement corrective actions.
- Respond to emergency situations and provide technical support to resolve critical problems.
- **Documentation**:

- Maintain accurate records of MEP system specifications, maintenance activities, and equipment documentation.
- Prepare reports for management and regulatory compliance.
- **Budget Management**:

- Develop and manage budgets for MEP projects, including equipment purchases, installations, and maintenance.
- **Collaboration**:

- Collaborate with other engineering disciplines, architects, and construction teams to ensure integrated and efficient MEP solutions.
- **Sustainability**:

- Implement sustainable practices in MEP design and operations to align with environmental goals.

**Education and Skills**:

- **Education**:

- A bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field is typically required. Some positions may require a master's degree.
- **Professional Engineer (PE) License**:

- Attaining a Professional Engineer (PE) license is often preferred or required, depending on the jurisdiction and employer.
- **Technical Skills**:

- Proficient in MEP design software and tools.
- In-depth knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
- **Project Management**:

- Understanding of project management principles to effectively plan, execute, and complete MEP projects.
- **Regulatory Knowledge**:

- Familiarity with local building codes, regulations, and safety standards related to MEP systems.
- **Communication Skills**:

- Excellent communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams, contractors, and clients.
- **Problem-Solving Abilities**:

- **Experience**:
