About the Role

To develop data models through analytical data processing and guide business leadership to specific decision making. Support teams into providing solutions for internal stakeholder requirements and ensuring the MIS databases are refreshed and maintained in a timely and accurate manner. Guide internal departments in appropriate and effective use of data through familiarization.

**Responsibilities**:

- Enhance reporting and business insights by developing a "best-in-class" reporting function that delivers timely, meaningful business performance tools which drives measurable business value.
- Develop logical and conceptual data flows to support major departmental project requirements within the QAS Cargo and QR Cargo, ensure all relevant KPl's for the Cargo Division within QAS Cargo are available in a timely basis.
- Manage data self-service platform by maintaining data sources & enable business in generating data insights Work together with the business to reduce the manual reporting efforts through continuous data automation.
- Develop a predictive analytics framework that delivers timely, meaningful business insights.
- Collaborate with QR IT department to develop database views for dashboards and ad-hoc reporting.
- Share observations and recommendations with the Line Manager and the internal stakeholders to support their decision making based on the models and reports developed within the team.
- Manage Cargo's repository of data (Data library (SharePoint)/Data Warehouse) effectively and ensure that high quality standards are maintained at all times.
- Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed b the Head of the Department.

Qualifications

About you

Essential
- High school qualifications with 5 years of job related experience
- Bachelors degree with 4 years job related experience
- Experience in both cargo business and business intelligence
- Proven experience in driving business intelligence and data analysis
- Intermediate-to-advanced knowledge in cargo operations would be an advantage
- Command of English language
- Proficient in SQL and build dashboards using Bl tools like Tableau, Power Bl
- High level of MS Office (Excel, Access, PowerPoint) and Business Objects knowledge/proficiency Good data analysis skills required to investigate data issues in reports and dashboards to find the root cause and provide solutions
- Strong ability to think through optimal data structures for intended business purposes
- Must be able to use consultative approach and persuasive communication with stakeholders
- Ability to take initiative and to set priorities independently
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Business modelling experience and ability
- Project and Time management skills

Preferred
- Advanced analytics certification (R, SAS, SPSS)
- Visualization tool certification (Power BI, Tableau, QlikView)
- Experience in analytics in the airline industry
