**Job Summary**:
A Resident Engineer/Construction Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the construction of engineering projects. Should work closely with clients, contractors, and other project stakeholders to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

**Duties & Responsibilities, (include but not limited to)**:

- Oversee and coordinate all construction activities to ensure adherence to project plans, specifications, and safety standards.
- Monitor progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective measures.
- Conduct regular site inspections to assess quality and compliance.
- Maintain open communication with clients, providing regular updates and addressing concerns.
- Represent the firm in meetings with clients and stakeholders.
- Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
- Implement and enforce safety policies and procedures on the construction site.

- Review and administer construction contracts to ensure compliance with contract terms.
- Manage contract variations, claims, and disputes.
- Manage schedules, resources, and logistics.
- Conduct safety inspections and audits.
- Investigate and report accidents and incidents.
- Ensure that construction work meets the highest quality standards.
- Conduct quality inspections and tests.
- Review and approve inspection reports.
- Monitor project costs and budgets.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities.

**Education & Experience**:

- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
- More than 10 years of experience required.
- UPDA Grade A
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and equipment.
- Knowledge of local building codes and regulations.
- Experience in project management and risk assessment.
- Proficiency in construction management software.

**Required Skills**:

- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and equipment.
- Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate construction projects.
- Identifying and mitigating potential risks and challenges.
- Ensuring adherence to quality standards and specifications.
- Implementing and enforcing safety policies and procedures.
- Understanding and managing construction contracts.
- Monitoring and managing project budgets.
