Place Vendôme is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Compliance Officer specializing in Life and Safety to join our dynamic team.

**Key Tasks and Responsibilities**:

- Communication with landlords for day-to-day requirement (excluding commercial aspects)
- Point of contact for Facility/HSE compliance responsibilities
- Point of contact for Building maintenance responsibilities-preventive and corrective
- Team member of FM related documentation preparations (Service Work Orders, Purchase requisitions)
- Record keeping of Facilities inspection records etc.
- Ensure adherence to all corporate, contractual, ethics, and safety standards, policies, and procedures.
- Provide guidance to other facility staff.
- Organize Periodic safety Inspections and follow ups covering all facility area as per corporate standards, Qatar regulations and Industry best practice.
- Participate in safety committee meetings to discuss the current safety conditions and program for improving safety culture and best practices.
- Advise the store teams with all necessary corrective action recommendations for minimizing the work related injuries and illness and upgrade the existing conditions.
- Educate all staff, contractors, and tenants on the importance of training and information on best safety practices and make them accountable for safety.
- Conduct site inspections and understand the requirement of its technical relevance of component replacement and confirmation.
- Ensure the satisfactory maintenance /repairing work completion by third party maintenance contractor.
- Ensure the Fire detection, suppression and protection systems are in working condition without faults.
- Ensure availability of emergency preparedness information for dealing with emergencies and periodic training of personnel for awareness.
- Periodic inspections and necessary corrective action recommendations.
- Ensure any modification and renovations in properties are complying with HSE requirements and necessary approvals.
- Monitor permits including Hot work by assessing the contractor’s safety performance and system.
- Monitor the tenant’s contractor safety performance at site during various maintenance or repair activities.
- Periodic instruction/Information and proper supervision to operatives involved in specific tasks associated with facility works activities.
- Investigate the near misses / incidents and identify root causes and contributing factors to establish lessons learnt to prevent near misses and accidents.
- Understand the latest fire safety measures and improve the personal understanding on Fire Safety systems and requirements.
- Perform other responsibilities unique to the location(s)

**Essential Qualifications, Education and Skillset**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering /Architecture/Facility Management
- Minimum 4 years of Middle East experience in a similar role with a Multinational Company
- NEBOSH (Minimum Level 3)
- Verifiable history of CPD
- Exposure to facility management, tenant management, civil & MEP activities.
- Real estate and facilities-related certification and/or coursework an advantage
- Ability to review and analyze third-party reports, including engineering, environmental, and appraisal reports.
- Be a self-starter and autonomous operator with leadership skills.
- Excellent Presentation/Communication skills and Strong interpersonal skills
- High level of written and verbal communication in English (Arabic is an advantage)
- Excellent organizational skills, assertiveness, pro-active mind-set, diligent, and detail-oriented
- Proven track record with references
- Software knowledge on Microsoft Word, Power-point, Excel, Adobe essential. AutoCAD skills are an advantage.
- Technical knowledge of Building Management is a requirement.
- Ability to prioritize and manage their workload to meet deadlines consistently with high accuracy.
- Extensive knowledge and experience in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Management systems and ISO/HSSEQ audits.
