About the role

We are recruiting for Senior Manager Engineering Aircraft Fleets-Boeing, Technical Engineering to be based in Doha, Qatar.

Senior Manager Engineering Aircraft Fleets-Boeing will ensure that aircraft are compliant with all applicable and future airworthiness requirements, Qatar Civil Aviation Authority (QCAA) safety regulations, operational requirements, corporate requirements and maintained at highest levels of technical dispatch reliability. Overseas all activities in Engineering sections, thus ensuring continuous compliance with airworthiness requirement to fulfil QCAA Part M responsibilities. Required to create and lead the implementation of operational strategy that ensures the organization meets and maintains all required safety and compliance requirements.

Specific responsibilities of the role include:
Strategic
- Sets the objectives and priorities for short, medium and long-term plans and action items in order to achieve

the targets and objectives for aircraft technical dispatch reliability.
- Develops and review procedures and processes for efficiency, effectiveness and compliance with applicable

regulations and requirements. Initiate new procedures or revision to existing procedures, as required.
- Develops applicable quality and safety processes and procedures with in areas of assigned responsibility.
- Establishes and manage a safety management system as required.
- Ensures an adequate independent quality audit system is developed, managed and maintained to company

and regulatory requirements.
- Establishes and manage implementation of appropriate control measures / key performance indicators

related to safety and compliance.
Operational
- Manages physical, financial and human resources to ensure all products are delivered on time within budget

while meeting/exceeding quality standards.
- Develops training plans and facilitate development of other employees for proper succession planning and risk management. Identify the training needs and develop the staff accordingly to maximize productivity

and efficiency. Identify and develop required resources.
- Maintains highest level of Technical Dispatch Reliability.
- Ensures timely compliance with mandatory date. Ensure accuracy of maintenance data.
- Estimates the required budget to support planned modifications, inspections and resource development.
- Prevents or minimize budget over-runs whilst achieving optimum performance.
- Ensure effective management of Qatar Airways Part-145 and Part-M organizational activities within the scope of responsibility and provide necessary technical support to maintain continued airworthiness of the fleet.
- Ensures work process is effective by complying QR technical work procedures and quality standards providing specialized skills for all employees to deliver on time performance maintaining the engineering standards.
- Ensures timely compliance with all airworthiness and regulatory data such as Airworthiness Directives,Regulatory Requirements or other mandatory data.
- Overall responsibility for aircraft fleet management.
- Ensured compliance with company policies, procedures and limitations.
- Reviewd and monitor all technical issues and action items periodically and keep VP Engineering briefed on status of all critical items. Allocate resources and initiate necessary actions to resolve all such issues in a timely manner.
- Responsible for planning and scheduling project goals, milestones and deliverable.
- Ensures effective technical support to all Qatar Airways departments/sections.
- Maintains effective liaison with all Qatar Airways departments /sections, vendors, manufactures and other external parties on all technical issues.

About you

Qualifications and Experience:

- Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent with Minimum 10 years of job-related experience.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Aeronautical, Mechanical, Electrical or Electronics.
- Experience as a Development Engineer with the supervisory/management role.
- Experience in technical management positions in Development Engineering discipline.
- Master’s degree in above-mentioned fields or in Engineering Management or Business Administration
- Detailed knowledge of applicable EASA and FAA regulations.
- Strong negotiating skills and good business acumen.
- Managerial skills - Ability to delegate work, set clear direction and manage workflow.
