To support Serco’s continuous growth and delivery of world class services, we are currently bidding for a new project in Qatar and we are looking for a Speaker Affairs & Contract Administration Manager.

Key accountabilities
The Speaker Affairs & Contract Administration Manager will act as the central hub for all administrative and logístical support to the courses to be delivered by Serco under the contract. The Speaker Affairs & Contract Administration Manager will be focussed on providing excellent service to the Customer, a broad range of visiting speakers and external training support providers, whilst overseeing the support to students attending courses. Also, this position to provide full dedicated administrative / HR / finance guidance and support to the customer facing team in the contract and act as a HR/Administrative focal point for the other Serco contracts and business development activities in the country of operation. E nsure the efficient and timely development and delivery of course and student administration services to support the range of short courses to be delivered through the contract by Serco. Manage the interface between Serco and external speakers, training providers, and sub-contracted translation and simultaneous interpretation providers, and to provide administrative and logistic support to two UK-based training providers, up to 50 visiting expert speakers and a wide range of visiting senior officials up to ministerial level. Also, act as Team Leader of the HR and Contract administrative support functions including personnel support, procurement, office management, general public relation services (PRO services both internal and external to Serco).

We are looking for someone who has the ability to work independently and also collaboratively to contribute to the development and achievement of team goals Ability to work flexibly and deal with confidential information with discretion. Ability to support individuals and teams. Has the ability to influence, negotiate and perform under pressure in a fast-paced setting. High degree of cultural awareness. Sound understanding of higher education and/or training management.

Specific requirements
Educated to Bachelor’s Degree level.
8 to 10 yrs of experience in administrative management roles, preferably in an educational institutions.
Experience of budgetary planning and management
Excellent spoken and written English language ability; a knowledge of Arabic would be an advantage.
Evidence of training in occupational safety and health or certification from a recognized body (e.g. IOSH) is preferred.
