_**Job Summary**:_

The Spare Parts Specialist will be responsible for managing the inventory of spare parts, ensuring the availability of critical components for repairs, and providing support for the efficient operation of the workshop. This role involves sourcing, ordering, receiving, and distributing parts for repairs and maintenance of machinery or vehicles, while maintaining optimal stock levels and ensuring accurate record-keeping.
- **Key Responsibilities**:_

**Inventory Management**:

- Monitor and maintain inventory levels of spare parts to ensure critical components are always available.
- Track part usage and predict future requirements based on the workshop’s repair and maintenance needs.
- Organize spare parts storage for easy access, ensuring items are labeled and categorized properly.

**Parts Ordering and Sourcing**:

- Order spare parts from suppliers and ensure timely deliveries to avoid any delays in the workshop operations.
- Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers and vendors.
- Ensure the quality and compatibility of parts meet workshop standards and requirements.

**Parts Distribution**:

- Ensure the timely and efficient distribution of spare parts to the relevant repair teams or technicians.
- Track parts usage for jobs and ensure all necessary components are available for upcoming projects.

**Record Keeping and Documentation**:

- Maintain accurate records of all parts ordered, received, and used.
- Update inventory management systems or logs to track part numbers, costs, and stock levels.

**Customer Interaction**:

- Assist customers in identifying and ordering the correct spare parts for their vehicles or machinery.
- Provide accurate information on part availability, pricing, and delivery schedules.

**Quality Control and Returns**:

- Inspect incoming parts for damage or defects and initiate returns or exchanges if needed.
- Ensure parts meet industry standards and comply with safety regulations.

**Coordination with Workshop Staff**:

- Work closely with technicians to understand their needs for spare parts and tools.
- Provide technical assistance or information about parts when required.
- **Qualifications**:_
- High school diploma or equivalent; further education or certification in automotive, mechanical, or industrial fields is preferred.
- Proven experience in spare parts management, inventory control, or similar roles (preferably in a workshop or service environment).
- Strong knowledge of parts catalogs, suppliers, and vehicle/machine repair systems.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills to interact with both suppliers and internal teams.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively.
- Familiarity with inventory management software or systems is an asset.

**Physical Requirements**:

- Ability to lift and move heavy parts or boxes (depending on the nature of the parts).
- Ability to work in a workshop environment, which may include exposure to dust, noise, and other industrial conditions.
