The Learning Support Teacher is responsible for providing educational assistance and support to students with diverse learning needs within a school setting. They work closely with classroom teachers, parents, and other professionals to create inclusive learning environments and promote academic success for all students. The main responsibilities of a Learning Support Teacher include:
Individualized Education Planning,

Instructional Support,

Small Group or One-on-One Instruction,

Assessment and Progress Monitoring,

Collaborative Approach,

Communication and Advocacy,

Professional Development

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Special Education, Education, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Teaching certification/license with a specialization in Special Education or Learning Support.
- Experience working with students with diverse learning needs, such as learning disabilities, ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, or emotional and behavioral disorders.
- Knowledge of different instructional strategies, accommodations, and assistive technologies to support diverse learners.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
- Organizational skills to manage individualized education plans, assessments, and documentation effectively.
