NON-OPERATED OIL DEVT & TECH SUPPORT

**Primary purpose of job**
Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Seismic Data Management: Full lifecycle management of seismic data with inclusion of tape transcription from legacy

media to latest technology including tapeless and cloud storage; Provide disaster recovery and in country back up copies

working with various phases and vintages of digital mediums.

2. Lifecycle Information Management: Responsible for the full lifecycle management of geological, geophysical,

petrophysical, petroleum engineering, and reservoir engineering physical and digital data for technical upstream disciplines

in the Subsurface, Development & Exploration Directorate. This includes organizing, classifying, and protecting data

according to information classification and protection standards.

3. Technical Data Center Management: Leads a small, focused team in managing the Technical Data Center, ensuring the

protocols. This involves maintaining and updating backups, with a specific focus on geophysical seismic volumes and

datasets, in compliance with SD&E standards and the Data Disaster Recovery Plan (DDRP).

4. Audits and Compliance: Drives internal and external audits on behalf of the Data Management section, coordinating with

audit teams. Ensures that data ownership is maintained within the SD&E Directorate by obtaining appropriate

authorizations from senior-level management through the Request Tracking System. Assures full compliance with

QatarEnergy information classification and protection standards.

5. Technical Data Support Services: Provides technical data support services and workflows to the SD&E technical

community. Manages all media, including UNIX/LINUX, Windows network, tapes, drives, and external media, by

coordinating data receipt, indexing, and archival in databases. Conducts file integrity checks to ensure data integrity and

accessibility.

**Experience & Skills**
1. Multidiscipline experience across petroleum engineering, geoscience, GIS, and computer science.

2. Problem Solving and Project Management:

- Extensive experience in enterprise-level problem solving and project management.
- Ability to handle complex issues across disciplines and manage projects effectively.
- Expertise in integrated field studies and data acquisition.

3. Tender/Contract Management and Leadership:

- Wide experience in tender/contract development and management within the petroleum industry.
- Strong leadership skills, including supervision, team building, and adherence to company policies and quality

management procedures.
- Excellent client and vendor relationship management.

4. Communication and Presentation:

- Excellent communication, presentation, motivation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to convey complex technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
