Qualification: A University bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with proficiency in English Language.
- Experience: +10 years in a major power/ industry Utility Organization / engineering firm with experience in design, construction, and maintenance for a wide range of civil engineering projects, especially the civil work of the power substations.
Write and or review the project specifications per client guidelines and industry standards for various utility jobs.

Estimate & allocate costs using local/ regional trends for projects.

Perform complicated design work using data collection and analysis, engineering calculations and methodologies to develop solutions for construction that meet local, and international standards.

Operate computers to prepare, review, and edit engineering drawings, data analysis and cost estimations through the relevant software, prepare project memorandums and reports, and use modeling software to setup, run and analyze utility system model simulations for existing utility system networks and proposed expansion or retrofit projects.

Provide reports to the project management leader and comprehensive cost and schedule analysis.

Manage assignments and responsibilities for engineers and manage the project team, ensuring that deadlines and deliverables are achieved. Consult with engineering team on scheduling, project milestones, and project documentation. Moreover, support simple to complex planning activities.

Manage projects through all phases, manage design changes, develop project schedules, and work plans to minimize construction timeline.

Update, maintain and document all work on drawings, diagrams, and test reports. Conduct follow-up meetings with customers, inspection agencies and other involved parties.

Drive continuous process improvement across engineering and construction functions for different projects.

Coordinate projects within the engineering & sites management teams, other government departments and authorities, public and private utilities, contractors, and consultants keeping parties informed and developing solutions to issues that arise.

Secure and maintain Power Systems safety rules within substations and sites.

Prepare and review plans and check construction for conformance with the client and state standards and specifications.

Investigate, prepare, and present technical reports and presentations both within periodic meetings.

Determine work priorities both for staffing and financial resource allocation.

Monitor work for compliance with established methods, guidelines, specifications, drawings, standards, and procedures.

Review work of team members for completeness and quality of work prepared and provide mentoring through feedback and instructions as needed.

Conduct and lead Training practical programs for internal Engineers & Technicians.

Demonstrate leadership skills and the ability to work well in team situations; be willing and able to lead and participate in cross-functional teams as required.
