- Prepare and create a wide range of baklava desserts with traditional and modern variations
- Develop and refine baklava recipes, ensuring consistent quality and taste
- Prepare and present high-quality, visually appealing, and delectable specialty dishes
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef and culinary team to plan menus and specials
- Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and portion sizes of specialty dishes
- Oversee and participate in the preparation, cooking, and plating of specialty dishes
- Maintain a clean and organized work station, ensuring compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in the art of specialty cuisine
- Assist in managing inventory, controlling food costs, and minimizing waste
- Keep up to date with industry trends, new techniques, and ingredients, incorporating them into menu development as appropriate
**Qualifications**
- Proven experience as a Baklava Specialty Chef or similar role in a high-end restaurant or luxury hotel
- In-depth knowledge of various specialty cuisines, cooking techniques, and ingredients
- Exceptional culinary creativity and passion for creating unique and memorable dining experiences
- Strong organizational and leadership skills
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Degree or certification in culinary arts or a related field is preferred
