**About the role**:
As a Manager Security Operations, you will manage and direct the Qatar Airways (QR) Group Security Airport Operations team at Hamad International Airport, as well as the QR security service providers. You will be responsible for designing and developing robust operational security procedures in accordance with the QR Security Programme as well as local and global aviation security regulations, with the goal of ensuring secure and compliant airline operations. You will work with relevant internal and external stakeholders to ensure that members of the QR Group Security Airport Operations team are properly trained to carry out their duties. You will be responsible for meeting all Key Performance Indicators related to QR Group Security Airport Operations.

**Additional Responsibilities**
- Identify security trends and threats that would require deployment of the Security Airport Operations team.
- Develop business plans to support security operations.
- Ensure compliance and consistency with the rules & regulations of the QR Security Programme, Qatar National Civil Aviation Security Programme, and aviation security regulations imposed by global aviation security regulators.
- Manage, amend and implement effective security operational procedures relating to airport security to ensure robust, compliant airline operations.
- Responsible for the management and oversight of a 24/7 QR Group Security Airport Operations team based at Hamad International Airport.
- Provide expertise, guidance, and advice to team members and internal stakeholders that interface with day to day aviation security processes.
- Manage, supervise and conduct a program of random alcohol and drug tests on airline staff.
- Lead non-technical investigations related to airport security occurrences.
- Lead contact with security service provider management for all procedural matters and change negotiation.
- Responsible for all security procedures from development, implementation, and monitoring to ensure that the implemented security procedures are current and relevant.
- Manage and roster resources to ensure that the QR Group Security Airport Operations team is fully manned and additional resources are available in the event of an emergency or incident.
- Identify and mentor potential team leaders in order to develop and facilitate their succession.
- Take part in staff disciplinary meetings, in accordance with company procedures.
- To be on call 24/7 in order to provide appropriate advice and support to the ‘on duty’ security managers.
- Investigate staff/passenger complaints about QR security matters, taking necessary corrective actions, and reporting as appropriate to senior security management.

**Qualifications**:
**About you**:

- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent with a minimum of 8 years job-related experience.
- Aviation security-related degree.
- A high level of aviation security management experience.
- A very high level of knowledge of airlines and airport operations.
- Evidenced excellent communication and report writing skills.
- An ability to interact well with people at all levels, including executive management.
- A good understanding and experience of stakeholder management and relationship management.
- Ability to delegate work and set clear directions.
- Evidenced experience of good team leadership qualities.
- The necessary experience and credibility to deputize for the Senior Manager - Security Airport Operations as required.

**Preferred**
- Team leadership / managerial skills.
- Ability to train other members of the QR Group Security team.
- Additionally, qualifications in general business, security or similar/relevant areas, investigation qualification, project management.
