Managing relationships in Qatar and globally, and portraying a positive image and reputation of the company among key internal/external stakeholders. Plan and put into place, information and communication plans that present the airline externally and internally in a positive light. Ensures good communication flow in Qatar, and globally, to portray a positive image and reputation. This position is developmental role to ensure the successful integration, business readiness and development within the company.

Operational:

- Identify and explore story ideas, picture opportunities and maximize PR benefits within QR Group.
- Leverage Qatar Airways news in Qatar and globally through media relationships and relevant stakeholders.
- Manage and implement Qatar airways corporate communications plan in Qatar and globally, and work closely with relevant stakeholders such as government entities and ministries.
- Protecting the company’s image and reacting immediately in the case of negative public perception in the media or elsewhere.
- Evaluate positive publicity opportunities within the media landscape or outside, in order to maximize awareness and coverage of the airline
- Support the corporate communications team with writing press releases, speeches, editorials, and supervise the distribution of press information to the right channels.
- Coordinate press events and conferences in Doha, organize media trips and other PR activities.
- Additional Accountabilities:

- Take responsibility for owning personal development and growth of expertise.
- Keep abreast with any market trends and development
- Assist in the response to any emergency r a major operational disruption affecting Qatar Airways or its subsidiaries.

**Qualifications**:
Job specific skills:

- Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
- PC literate with excellent skills in MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel
- Demonstrate strong analytical thinking, creativity and initiative
- Attentive to details with effective time management and negotiations skills is highly required
- Fluent knowledge of the company and its background
