**JOB DESCRIPTION Catering Supervisor**
- **Catering Supervisor Responsibilities**_
1. Assists Catering Officer in the day to day administration of Catering activities and services.
2. Coordinate and administer full range of catering activities and services.
3. Assists in monitoring the performance of the catering contractor and their assigned staff to ensure full compliance with company policies, procedures and QHSE standards.
4. Monitors catering service and hygiene standards including food production, presentation and cleanliness, food service and customer service.
5. Ensures healthy, balanced and diverse menus and menu cycles are set to suit various nationalities and cultures. Monitors the contractors’ adherence to agreed menus.
6. Ensures the highest levels of quality standards. Coordinates with QHSE and contractors to promote food safety and hygiene standards Ensures regular inspection of kitchen and canteen areas to control hygienic standards of food handling and preparation processes
7. Coordinates regular pest control of promises and maintains high hygienic standards of kitchens, canteens and food storage facilities.
8. Coordinates other catering services such as meals and refreshments for meetings, training sessions, staff gatherings and other special occasions as required.
9. Coordinates catering activities during Maintenance Shut Down periods
10. Ensures cost effective management of service contracts. Oversees the work carried out by contractors and monitors their performance.
11. Assist with monthly catering inspections for all catering locations
12. Holding a valid Qatari Driving License with defensive driving certificates
13. Assist with training for catering contractor staff
14. Complies with all company Health, Safety & Environmental policies and procedures. Participates in HSE meetings and company QHSE promotional programs
15. Conducts all work activities in a safe and environmentally responsible manner by not taking on any task(s) that are perceived as unsafe and if in doubt, consults supervisor/manager before proceeding
16. Reports all accidents, incidents or near misses to supervisor/manager or to the QHSE Department.
17. Participates in HSE meetings and company QHSE promotional programs.
18. Follows up on catering activities and services during leave periods for Catering Officer
19. Performs other similar or related duties as required.
- **Qualifications & Experience (Minimum Requirements)**_
Educational Requirements / Qualifications: (Formal education and professional qualifications)
- Bachelor Degree
- Food Safety Certificate
Experience: (Years required for an acceptable level of performance.)
- Minimum of 3 years of related (operational & administrative) experience in a large organization preferably in oil/gas catering / hospitality environment
- Working as chef is an advantage
- Working knowledge of contract management
- Experience in working in a multi-cultural environment
- Computer literate and knowledgeable in Microsoft Office
- Fluent in English
- Valid Qatar Driving License
