Fixed Asset and Inventory Accountant

**Seven or more years of total experience. Out of which five or more years of experience in Fixed Asset and/or in Supply chain management.**:

- Three or more years of accounting experience in Qatar
- **Two or more years of accounting experience in Hospital / Healthcare**:

- Two or more years of accounting experience with Governmental organization
- **experience within a high volume of Inventory or Fixed Asset environment. Experiences in small organizations with less than 100 employees or less than 2000 assets or less than 30000 inventory items will not be considered for evaluation.**:

- experience of closing of books of accounts in General Ledger Oracle EBS **Experience in working with internationally accepted accounting principles**:

- **Preference will be given to Masters in Materials Management or Supply Chain Management or with Supply Chain Management Professional Certification like CPIM, CSCP and CPSM.**:

- **Skills**: Should have worked in a recognized ERP system like Oracle, SAP, etc for a minimum of 5 years.
- **Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook ** Strong interpersonal skills and Good communication skills **High Level of analytical and problem solving skills ** Adequate presentation skills for educating clients on procedures to be followed **Good planning and organizational skills to balance and prioritize work**:

- **Duties and Responsibilities**:
**1. Bookkeeping and reconciliation of assets and records ** Perform asset bookkeeping related works such as identifying assets pending for Capitalization, validating them with the documents related to the asset, updating the records with transfers and retirements. **Coordinate overall monthly close process, including importing, reviewing and posting of journals. ** Reconciling various accounts of inventory and fixed asset with other related modules. **Perform asset capitalization process and procedure. ** Monitor and report inventory and fixed asset transactions and develop inventory and fixed asset analysis reports.

2. Asset controlling**:Assigning and monitoring the custodianship. ** Recording asset transfers and retirements and accordingly updating the custodianship. **Tracking of assets from procurement until retirement. ** Monitoring the working of Gate-pass and the Entry and Exit registers at the gates and to ensure the system is working fine. **Monitor the Slow moving, non-moving, obsolete and expired items.**

**3. Fixed Asset Tagging, Physical Verification & Audit**: To tag the new assets and ensure the asset tagging is up-to-date. **Plan, coordinate and perform random and periodic physical inventory and fixed asset counts and scrutinize the variances and execute necessary corrective actions. ** Generate periodical reports on inventory and fixed assets discrepancies and resolve. **Verification of assets, which are transferred and are meant for disposal. ** Initiate any procedural changes required for better practice based on the variance analysis and outcome. **Ensure the policies and procedures related to Inventory and Fixed Assets are followed properly throughout the organization. ** Assist the Inventory and Asset verification team, Internal and External Auditors for annual statutory audits.

4. Other duties**:The incumbent will undertake any such related duties or responsibilities as directed. ** Respond to the inventory and fixed asset related queries / requests / clarifications from the User Departments, Supporting Departments and inventory and Fixed Asset Section. **Co-ordinate with ERP support team for any EBS related issues.**

**Job Type**: Temporary

**Salary**: QAR3,000.00 - QAR3,500.00 per month
