**Job Summary**:
The Executive Chef is responsible for overseeing all culinary operations within a restaurant or catering and food service establishment (preferred in diet food). This includes menu planning, staff management, ensuring food quality, and maintaining kitchen operations to ensure customer satisfaction. The Executive Chef works closely with other departments and management.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Menu Creation & Development**:

- Design and develop menus that align with the restaurant’s concept and customer preferences.
- Incorporate seasonal ingredients and current culinary trends to keep the menu fresh and innovative.
- Ensure the consistency and quality of all dishes.
- **Kitchen Management**:

- Oversee all kitchen operations, ensuring cleanliness, safety, and food quality standards are met.
- Supervise kitchen staff, including sous chefs, line cooks, prep cooks, dishwashers, etc.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate kitchen personnel, fostering an environment of growth and teamwork.
- Maintain inventory of kitchen supplies and order necessary products.
- **Staffing & Training**:

- Hire, train, and evaluate kitchen staff members.
- Schedule staff shifts to ensure adequate kitchen coverage.
- Enforce safety, sanitation, and health regulations within the kitchen.
- **Cost Control**:

- Manage food costs and budget to maintain profitability.
- Track inventory and minimize waste.
- Implement strategies to reduce food costs without compromising quality.
- **Collaboration**:

- Work with management and front-of-house teams to ensure smooth service.
- Participate in the development of promotional events and seasonal specials.
- Interact with customers when necessary to gather feedback or resolve issues.
- **Compliance**:

- Ensure adherence to all health and safety regulations in the kitchen.
- Oversee food handling procedures to maintain high standards of hygiene.
- **Leadership**:

- Lead by example, setting the tone for the kitchen staff’s performance.
- Resolve conflicts and provide constructive feedback to staff members.

**Qualifications**:

- Proven experience as an Executive Chef, Sous Chef, or other culinary leadership role.
- Extensive knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Creative flair for developing new dishes and improving existing ones.
- In-depth understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

**Education & Experience**:

- Culinary degree or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a professional kitchen, with at least 3 years in a leadership role (preferred in catering or diet food).

**Work Environment**:

- Fast-paced and dynamic.
- Must be able to stand for long periods, and work in hot, noisy environments.

Pay: QAR7,000.00 per month
