Job Summary:
The Accounts officer will manage the financial and operational relationships with healthcare providers, policyholders, and internal stakeholders. This role ensures the accurate handling of accounts, timely processing of claims, reconciliation of payments, and fostering strategic partnerships to enhance service delivery and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Account Management:

- Develop and maintain strong relationships with healthcare providers, brokers, and clients.
- Negotiate and manage contracts with healthcare providers to ensure cost-effective services.

2. Claims Processing:

- Supervise the claims team to ensure timely and accurate processing of claims.
- Resolve discrepancies between providers and insurers efficiently.

3. Billing and Reconciliation:

- Oversee the preparation and review of invoices and statements for accuracy.
- Reconcile accounts between the company and its healthcare partners.

4. Financial Analysis and Reporting:

- Analyze financial performance of accounts and identify trends or discrepancies.
- Prepare and present financial reports and insights to senior management.

5. Compliance and Risk Management:

- Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements in all financial transactions and reporting.
- Monitor and mitigate risks associated with health insurance accounts.

6. Strategic Planning:

- Collaborate with the sales and underwriting teams to design competitive insurance products.
- Develop strategies to improve profitability and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
- Proven experience in accounts management, preferably within the health insurance sector.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare billing systems and insurance claims processes.
- Proficiency in financial reporting tools and accounting software.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.

Key Competencies:

- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple accounts and meet deadlines under pressure.
- Strong understanding of health insurance regulations and compliance standards.
