About the Role

As a Lounge Supervisor you will be responsible for organizing resources effectively and coordinating necessary activities to ensure efficient, productive and risk free operation are carried out on shift basis. You will support the line manager to ensure exemplary service is provided to all Qatar Airways customers. You will supervise daily operations ensuring all standard operating procedures are practiced and provide support and assistance to the Front of House and Food & Beverages teams.

Your key accountabilities include:

- Supervise and Participate in Lounge (Front of House and Food & Beverage) operations as per Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) relevant to HIA Lounges.
- Conduct team meetings and discuss issued face by colleagues in Front of House and Food & Beverage, try to find immediate solutions and report the same to the Line Manager
- Communicate effectively with all areas of the operation and ensure visual appearance of the operational is of the highest standard by regular monitoring. Ensure all team members are appropriately groomed and maintain highest level of hygiene when on duty, report and deviation to the set grooming and standards regulation to the line manager/ grooming officer on duty and initiate corrective action.
- Maintain restaurant inventory, food rotation, menu consistency and beverage commission guidelines and ensure all team members are following food safety, hygiene, health and safety standards and procedures for a safe lounge operation.
- Manage conflict resolution and facilitate service recovery situations with guest. Actively participate and interact with customers to understand needs and attend to special requests and be prepared to "to go the extra mile" in order to make a memorable experience for all lounges customers. Describe relevant information to customers about all services provided at the HIA Lounges while they are undertaking their Qatar Airways lounge experience.
- Liaise and build positive relationships with other internal departments and external agencies where applicable.
- Ensure the relevant Lounge environment is warm and pleasurable at all times through keeping the area immaculately clean, and ensuring information available to customers is accurate and up to date.
- Assist in establishing methods for inventory control and adhere to purchasing procedures to ensure par levels of food, beverage, cutlery, paper and other lounge supplies are readily available.
- Perform other department duties related to his/her positions as directed by the Head of the Department.

Your excellent interpersonal skills and your focus in providing excellent customer service will need to be infectious in successfully leading and motivating your team. You have strong communication skills and able to make decision independently.
