Chef de Partie- Bakery

**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Baking and Production**:
- Prepare, bake, and decorate a variety of bakery items, including bread, pastries, cakes, and desserts, as per the establishment's standards.
- Ensure daily production meets the required quantity and quality standards.
- **Supervision and Training**:
- Supervise and guide junior kitchen staff or commis chefs in the bakery section.
- Assist in training new team members on bakery techniques, hygiene, and safety protocols.
- **Menu Development**:
- Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop new bakery items and seasonal menu changes.
- Innovate and experiment with new recipes to enhance the bakery offerings.
- **Quality Control**:
- Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and taste.
- Monitor ingredients to ensure freshness and consistency.
- **Inventory and Ordering**:
- Manage stock levels for the bakery section and coordinate with suppliers to ensure availability of ingredients.
- Maintain inventory records and oversee ingredient usage to minimize waste.
- **Health, Safety, and Hygiene**:
- Follow and enforce kitchen safety and hygiene practices.
- Ensure compliance with local food safety regulations and conduct regular checks to maintain cleanliness.
- **Equipment Management**:
- Operate and maintain bakery equipment, ensuring it is in proper working condition.
- Report any equipment malfunctions and coordinate repairs or replacements as needed.
**Qualifications and Skills**:
- **Experience**:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, ideally within a bakery or pastry kitchen.
- Proficiency in a variety of baking techniques, including bread-making, pastry work, and cake decoration.
- **Education**:
- Culinary or pastry degree from an accredited institution or equivalent practical experience.
- **Technical Skills**:
- Strong knowledge of baking methods, tools, and equipment.
- Familiarity with modern baking trends and an eye for design in pastry presentation.
- **Soft Skills**:
- Good communication and team leadership skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain attention to detail.
- **Physical Stamina**:
- Able to stand for long periods and handle physically demanding tasks in a fast-paced environment.
