Job Description**:Commi 1 (Assistant to CDPs) - Chocolate and Pastry Area**

Position Title**:Commi 1 (Assistant to CDPs)**

Location**:Umm Salal**

Reporting To**:Chef de Partie (CDP)**

**Key Responsibilities**:
1.Assisting Chef de Parties (CDPs):
Assist CDPs in preparing and producing chocolates, cakes, pastries, and other baked goods.

Follow recipes and production schedules provided by the CDPs.

Ensure all food preparation meets Cannelle's high standards for quality and presentation.

2.Food Preparation:
Prepare ingredients for baking and cooking, including measuring and mixing ingredients.

Assist in baking, cooking, and assembling chocolates, cakes, and pastries.

Help in decorating cakes and pastries as per the recipes and standards set by the CDPs.

3.Kitchen Support:
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and production areas.

Assist in maintaining proper food storage, handling, and sanitation standards.

Follow food safety and hygiene procedures at all times.

4.Inventory Management:
Assist in monitoring inventory levels and communicating stock needs to the CDPs.

Help in conducting regular inventory counts and ensuring accurate records.

Receive and store incoming food items according to established procedures.

5.Customer Service:
Assist in serving customers and handling inquiries about chocolate and pastry products.

Provide information about ingredients, allergens, and product availability.

Ensure a positive customer experience through excellent service and product knowledge.

6.Event Preparation:
Assist in preparing chocolate and pastry items for special events, including weddings, birthdays, and corporate functions.

Collaborate with the CDPs and event planners to create custom dessert menus and displays.

7.Quality Control:
Monitor the quality of ingredients and finished products to ensure they meet Cannelle's standards.

Report any issues with food quality or production processes to the CDPs.

8.Compliance and Safety:
Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including food safety and hygiene regulations.

Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Report any safety hazards or maintenance issues to the CDPs or management.

9.Team Collaboration:
Work closely with other team members to ensure efficient operation of the chocolate and pastry area.

Communicate effectively with colleagues and management.

Participate in team meetings and training sessions as required.
