About your Role
You will be responsible for the preparation of financial and strategic information, monitoring variance against the budget, evaluating opportunities/risks and implementing cost control. You will provide technical training and upscale the technical competencies of the Business Finance team across the group. You will support the middle management business with financial business cases, dashboards and analyses. You will focus on value-added, meaningful and insightful reporting and training to the Senior Management in Finance and the Business Units. You will organize and manage requests from Senior Management Finance, set priorities and manage daily work of team members.
We need you to develop business partner relationship functionality with leaders of assigned area of responsibility. You will act as a Subject Matter Expert and a focal point within Group Finance for analytical tools, dashboard creating and operational consistency.
Your Responsibilities
- Develop, monitor and review, Internal Accounting Policies and Standard Operating Procedures for each area of operation within the business unit, in line with business needs, with focus on process improvement and internal control
- Offer training and support to the Business Finance team across the board on the use of contemporary models, techniques and quantitative tools in order to support the capability building of the team and enhance the level of service to the business.
- Keep abreast with the latest tools and available models of financial analysis
- Organise and conduct periodic training sessions within Group Finance on financial tools and models to ensure operational consistency across the group
- Accountable to present an objective view of the financial situation and provide sound recommendation for the allocation of resources in the most efficient way to achieve business objective.
- Responsible to participate in the annual strategic planning process - this may encompass industry and market trends and analysis, SWOT analysis, scenario analysis and planning, budgeting and forecasting, strawman development and sensitivity analysis
- Develop advanced financial models and conduct analysis using a broad range of quantitative tools and techniques (trend analyses on past financial and operational performance, root cause analyses, analysis of profitability drivers, scenario modelling for future options, unit-cost benchmarking).

**Qualifications**:
About You
- Bachelor Degree with minimum 8 years of job - related experience
- Excellent communication and presentation skills are a must, as is the ability to work effectively across the organization. Excellent written, verbal and strong influencing and negotiations skills.
- Experience working on tight internal reporting timescales and managing responsibilities/work interruptions, while meeting deadlines.
- Experience in providing technical (finance related) training and support to the Senior Stakeholders within Business Unit and Finance team
- Experience in developing and delivering trainings on contemporary models, techniques, latest tools of financial analysis
- Experience in conducting in depth analysis on a variety of complex strategic and business projects/issue, extracting and analysing date and presenting the findings and recommendations directly to the business
- Airline experience with good knowledge of operational costs and cost unit measurement
- Good knowledge of internal finance system
- Knowledge of cost centre accounting, preparing budgets and forecasts
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to review variances, understand the business cycle and their impact on the profit and loss account.
