As the Sous Chef specializing in Pastry/Commissary at our esteemed luxury hotel, your pivotal responsibility will involve overseeing and managing the pastry and commissary operations. In close collaboration with the Pastry Chef your role will ensure the flawless execution of exceptional pastry and commissary items, adhering to the hotel's culinary standards and exceeding guest expectations.
**Qualifications**:
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar leadership role, specializing in pastry and commissary operations within the luxury hotel industry.
- Culinary degree or diploma in pastry and baking arts is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, baking, dessert plating, and artistic presentation.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team, fostering a positive work environment.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in menu planning, recipe development, and food costing.
- Comprehensive knowledge of kitchen hygiene practices and occupational health and safety standards is essential.
- Basic Computer Skills in MS Office, and Recipe Maintenance System is preferred.
- Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends, evenings, and holidays as required by the hotel industry.
