**About the role**:
As the Security Regulations Manager, you will support the Manager Security Regulations in delivering the Group Security strategic plans, and drive high levels of performance within the Security Regulations Team.

You will be responsible for:

- Preparing text amendments for key security manuals, policies, standards, procedures, bulletins, notices, and aviation security training material to ensure they are relevant, current, and in line with international aviation security regulations.
- An effective Security Management System (SeMS) / IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) Management System.
- Supporting the Qatar Airways IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) program
- The preparation of the Denial of Carriage policy, decisions, and bi-annual quality control.
- Ensuring that the IT systems used by the Regulations Team are continually evaluated such that they, and the processes surrounding their use of them, are achieving maximum productivity with minimum wasted effort or expense.
- The program of activity to deliver a strong security culture across Qatar Airways.
- Supporting the department emergency response program
- Responsible for managing the team that prepares the GS&S - Security Team performance data.

**Qualifications**:
**About you**:

- Ability to work well within a small, very busy, team as well as independently
- Integrity and confidentiality
- You have an ability to understand and absorb considerable amounts of technical detail and can easily interpret the latest international regulatory requirements
- You have excellent English, spoken and written, and you are adept at simplifying complex messages
- You have a lot of experience developing policies and procedures
- You are well versed in the principles of quality management/evaluation systems
- You have strong project management, analytical and problem-solving skills
- You know how to coach and lead teams to improve workplace efficiency, including the use of software systems and databases. You can identify, propose, initiate and lead these programs to completion
- You are great at organizing and delegating work, setting clear direction, and managing workflow
- You are proactive in identifying and responding to issues and challenges that arise
- You are great at communicating and know how to identify, analyze, manage and monitor relationships with and between stakeholders
- Your logical and creative thinking skills are strong. You can resolve problems as they occur using the most appropriate course of action. You are calm under pressure
- You are great with data. You know how to manipulate it and how to present it in a clear and compelling way, using visual means. You can present, communicate and disseminate data effectively

**Preferred**
- Experience in working in a regulated industry, including liaison with and working with regulators
- Previous experience in airline, airport, or aircraft operations
- Working knowledge of the aviation security environment
- Working knowledge of ICAO Standards and Recommended Practices (SARPs) relevant to the Aviation Security specialty; i.e., ICAO Annex 17 to the Convention on ICAO (Chicago Convention), ICAO Security Manual for the Safeguarding of Civil Aviation from Acts of Unlawful Interference (Doc 8973)
- Experience working in an international environment, with people from diverse cultural backgrounds
