**KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**

Please note that this is not an exhaustive list of everything that needs to be done. Anantara employees always find new ways to look after the business, their guests, and their colleagues. Within this, the key responsibilities for this position are:

- Reports to Director of Marine Transportation
- Ensures skippers are aware of any changes to the schedule, special notices, weather warnings and information and any physical changes at any of the terminals.
- Records and reports all incidents
- Plans bunkering in conjunction with the Junior Port Captains and the boat skippers.
- Responsible for the safe operation in terminal
- Mans the control room of the assigned terminal
- Assigns teams into boats upon duty start
- Assigns arriving boats to appropriate berths
- Ensures that all boat documents are collected, filled and sent back to control room
- Accepts and records any lost property found in the boats and ensures to be safely handed over to Anantara security officers.
- Ensures boats are being cleaned ready for the next departure
- Maintains stores of housekeeping and cleaning materials at terminals
- Must be aware of all defects on boats and follow up with Technical department to ensure repairs have been made.
- Assists with security at each of the terminals
- Maintain appropriate logbooks at terminals
- Assists and cooperates with Front Office concerning guest expectations and reservation figures
- Ensures all FFA and LSA appliances are in proper order ready to be used.
- Ensures jetty is safe of obstacles and at all times clean
- Ensure effective allocation of boat attendants to ensure the cleanliness of boats at all times.
- Maintain accurate crew rosters in conjunction of Junior Port Captains.
- Performs visual checks of any defect reported by crew prior to reporting to technical department.
- Ensures that all navigational tracks are checked and deleted daily.
- Ensures all operational information is shared with other Junior Port Captains and the Safety & Training Manager upon his shift end.
- Coordinate with Front Office in all terminals in case of any trip schedule changes or additional transportation demands.

**Qualifications**:

- With 2 to 5 years of experience in the same field
- With good English communication skills
- With good technical skills
- With pleasing personality
- Ability to handle pressure at work
- Ability to multi-task
- Eye for detail & organized
