We are recruiting for a temporary Summer Camp Counsellor, demonstrations and displays at the venue, as well as arts and crafts, school preparation, games, and sports activities. We provide different programs for children ages 4-13 years, with the goal of making the experience of camp one not to forget. Campers will be accompanied to a variety of indoor and outdoor activities in various locations.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Responsible for the care and safety of campers.
- Ensures campers are engaged, feel safe, and encouraged to participate in all activities.
- Operates programs in a professional, organized, and efficient manner.
- Leads a variety of outings and educational programming appropriate to age groups.
- Serves as a positive role model to the children in your care, ensuring their safety at all times.
- Follows directions of the Camp Lead and the Program Supervisor, always maintaining clear

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Completion of grade 12 supplemented with additional course work with children or youth.
- Preference given to applicants with previous experience working with children or youth.
- Previous experience in a camp program, preferred.
- Experience leading recreation or educational activities, an asset (i.e., tutoring).
- Must be available for the full duration of 8 weeks.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
- Ability to problem solve and seek assistance when necessary.
- Evidence of COVID-19 vaccination status.
- Food Safe Level 1, an asset.

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 20 per week
