**About the Role**

Responsible to facilitate and execute compliance activities pertaining to Direct Taxes, Indirect taxes, Corporate Laws and Transfer Pricing regulations for the entire network of Qatar Airways including international tax planning and compliance while maintaining operational transparency and adequate governance.

**Responsibilities**
- Facilitate tax & corporate compliance activities across QR network based on annual compliance plan.
- Develop operational plans for timely filing of QR tax compliances in the State of Qatar and for assigned countries/tax jurisdictions.
- Prepare analysis and supporting documents on potential tax opportunities/positions and collaborate with Tax Strategy & Planning Team for further analysis.
- Implement processes and systems to ensure efficient and effective management of tax operations
- For assigned jurisdictions, assist in providing internal advisory services and support on operational matters pertaining to tax & corporate compliance.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to facilitate the implementation of legal setup of offices at new destinations.
- Work with line managers on maintaining an up to date tax and compliance ready reckoner for HO and outstations through regular review of any changes in compliance requirements
- Collate data and supporting documents concerning the tax matters for the management to be addressed through the MoF Qatar for Tax related bilateral negotiations between the State of Qatar and other countries.
- Coordinate with contracts department to support finalization of contracts to appoint tax consultants and auditors within the set timeframes.
- Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department.

**Qualifications**:
**About you**

Essential
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or accounting
- Minimum 4 years of job-related experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent command of English language
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint)
- Leadership and stakeholder management skills

Preferred
- Experience working within the aviation industry/ multinational company or Big4.
- Experience using Oracle ERP
- ACCA, CA or other accounting certifications is an asset
