Position Overview:
The MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) Team Lead is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing aspects of construction projects. They play a critical role in ensuring the successful execution of MEP systems and coordinating with various stakeholders, including architects, engineers, contractors, and vendors. The MEP Team Lead is expected to possess a strong technical background and leadership skills to guide their team effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Planning and Coordination:

- Collaborate with project managers and design teams to plan MEP requirements for construction projects.
- Review architectural and engineering drawings to identify MEP needs and potential conflicts.
- Coordinate with other construction disciplines to ensure seamless integration of MEP systems.

2. Team Management:

- Lead a team of MEP engineers and designers, providing guidance, direction, and mentoring.
- Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members based on their expertise and project requirements.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members to foster professional development.

3. Quality Control and Compliance:

- Ensure that MEP designs and installations meet industry codes, standards, and regulations.
- Oversee quality control measures, including inspections and tests, to maintain high construction standards.
- Address any non-compliance issues and work towards finding solutions to maintain project timelines.

4. Budget and Resource Management:

- Collaborate with the project management team to develop MEP budgets and monitor expenses throughout the project lifecycle.
- Optimize resource allocation and utilization to meet project deadlines efficiently.

5. Vendor and Supplier Management:

- Evaluate and select vendors, suppliers, and contractors for MEP-related materials and services.
- Negotiate contracts and manage relationships to ensure timely delivery and cost-effectiveness.

6. Technical Expertise:

- Provide technical support and expertise to resolve complex MEP-related challenges.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, innovations, and best practices.

7. Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE):

- Ensure strict adherence to HSE regulations and safety protocols on all MEP installations.
- Promote a culture of safety among team members and project stakeholders.

8. Communication:

- Facilitate effective communication between various project stakeholders, including architects, engineers, contractors, and clients.
- Prepare and present progress reports to the management and clients.

Qualifications and Requirements:

- Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/Plumbing Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience (typically 3+ years) in MEP engineering and project management.
- Strong knowledge of MEP design principles, codes, and standards.
- Leadership experience with excellent team management and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically under pressure.
- Project management certifications (e.g., PMP) may be advantageous.

**Salary**: QAR5,000.00 - QAR6,000.00 per month
