**_ABOUT THE ROLE & TEAM:_**

Leads Technology Platforms and Infrastructure Architecture on a project to meet business requirements through requirements analysis cross-team collaboration expertise support and project supervision.

WHAT YOU WILL DO: _**
- Identifies implements and monitors best practices for solution and infrastructure architecture while providing expert advice on both solution and infrastructure initiatives.
- Account for designing solutions for large or complex programs in accordance with business strategies, standards, and processes.
- Design/coordinate development of standard and complex solutions which may involve multiple parties both internally and externally including the selection of 3rd party vendors to meet customer requirements.
- Work with the other architects, development, and products engineering teams within the SITA Government business unit to products successful customer designs.
- Interprets software requirement and designs relevant solution and infrastructure architecture and performance modelling.
- Facilitate designs to be efficiently implemented Right the First Time (RFT) and supported operationally.
- Ensures infrastructure installations and upgrades are made in accordance with established policies procedures and software licensing agreements.
- Support account teams or competency centers during the pre-contract phases (qualification proposals and contract) with technical designs and advice.
- Provide the technical qualification and own the technical parts of proposals submitted to customers through knowledge of current new or evolving technologies and SITA solution portfolios.
- Promote SITA by furnishing customers with comprehensive up-to-date information on current products, product enhancements and new solutions through customer meetings and workshops.
- Collaborate with colleagues to gain and share ideas and opportunities.
- Ensure designs in compliance with Industry standards and architectural plans.
- Assess the viability and value of new technologies and patterns, working to ensure we align with the business’s technical aims for scalability and growth.
- Manages and monitors the organization's technology platforms and infrastructure architecture and plays a leading role in the vision and development of the company's future technology.

Qualifications:
**_ EXPERIENCE:_**
- Degree in a technical discipline (e.g. Computer Science or Engineering).
- Minimum of 8-10 years IT experience or equivalent work experience in a relevant environment.
- Ability to provide technical system solutions, determine overall design direction and provide hardware recommendations for complex technical issue.
- Experienced in designing, integrating, and managing software solutions.
- Have a background in working in a systems integration industry.
- Proven track record in producing communicating and documenting successful technical customer solutions.
- Pre-Sales Business and or Commercial experience is a plus.
- A willingness to keep up to date with developments in new technology.
- An understanding of information legislation, such as the Data Protection Act and GDPR.
- Ability to demonstrate an understanding of the end-to-end solution.
- Deliver and ensure quality assurance against the design during the project phases.
- Strong written and oral communication skills, and the ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical audiences.
- Problem-solving and good analytical skills.
- Good organizational skills.
- Flexibility and adaptability.
- Team Player.
