3. Supervises the correct specimen requirements, criteria of acceptability or rejection.

4. Supervises all quality controls, quality assurance requirements and established guidelines as per Lab, Department or section.

5. Supervises the implementation safety policies, universal precautions and hazardous material management and waste policies.

6. Assures the routine patient test performance, including, as applicable, patient identification and preparation; and specimen collection, handling, processing and testing.

7. Overlook all the recording and reporting of test results, including, as applicable, reporting critical results.

8. Validate intermediate test results or worksheets, quality control records, proficiency testing results, and preventive maintenance records.

9. Oversee the performance of instrument maintenance and function checks.

10. Assess test performance through testing previously analyzed specimens, internal blind testing specimens or external proficiency testing specimens.

11. Assure that all lab protocol to perform laboratory tests and correctly log the results of those tests.

12. Identify, diagnose, and troubleshoot issues that may arise with the laboratory equipment.

13. Assure that verification of all test results and ensure that they are correctly matched with the specimen.

14. Operate, calibrate and conduct performance checks on clinical laboratory equipment as per section guidelines.

15. Should have experience in CAP & JCI Accreditations
