Curtain Specialist

**Summary**:
The position of Curtain Specialist is responsible for all aspects of curtain / soft furnishings. Sells curtain, the work may also include the fitting of doors and windows into the curtain wall grid. The role would ideally suit someone who has a passion to sell curtains, for sewing and a love for fabrics, make curtains with all types of headings, blinds and other soft furnishings to a very high standard. Offer clients to beautify their homes with our custom-made luxury curtains, blinds, shutters, and accessory products. In this customer facing role you will manage all front-end aspects of curtain sales.

**Functions**:
**Your duties will consist of but will not be limited to**:

- Installation of curtain tracks, poles, curtains, blinds, window dressings and associated accessories in client’s properties.
- To carry out site measures at client’s properties to accurately measure for curtains, blinds, poles, tracks etc.
- Communicate with both the customer and office team on all aspects of the role.
- Work is to be carried out in a time frame set by the office team and may include extended hours.
- Driving new business.
- Point of sale design and input in the showroom.
- Supply chain management.
- Sells curtains, draperies, slipcovers, bedspreads, and yard goods from which these may be made.
- Displays samples of fabric and advises customer regarding color and pattern of material or style that will complement furnishings in customer's home.
- Selects size or number of curtains or drapes required, based on customer's specifications or window measurements. Overseeing fittings.
- May estimate cost of fabricating draperies, curtains, or slipcovers.
- May measure and cut fabric from bolt.
- May also sell curtain and drapery rods and window shades.
- Performs other duties as described under Salesperson. Sales supporting current consultants.
- May sell custom-made draperies to customers in their homes and be designated Salesperson, Custom Draperies.
- Provide customer's accurate quotations and prices both in the showroom and in their homes when required.
- Strive to achieve monthly and annual sales target.

**Skills**:

- Several years’ experience working within the Curtain/Soft furnishing industry.
- Strong expertise in Curtain, blind and shutter styles with the ability to share knowledge with consultants and clients.
- Experience in sales and driving new business.
- Good communication skills dealing with clients in a professional and friendly manner.
- Energetic and real people person.
- Strong interest in interior design.
