**Principal Planning & Risk Engineer**

**Qatar**

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented **Principal Planning & Risk Engineer **to join our team In this role you will get to develop, establishes, and maintains all aspects of planning/scheduling and project risk effort on one or more of the larger, more complex and demanding projects. Incumbent utilizes his/her broad experience, expertise, and exposure to various types of company projects and clients.

**What You'll Be Doing**:

- Provide guidance, direction, and specialized assistance for the resolution of difficult and complex project control problems.
- Interface with project managers and clients, attend regular meetings, and provide statistical reports.
- Lead planning/scheduling activities on both design and construction large/complex projects, including development of the work breakdown structure and project schedules, analysis and reporting of schedule status against an established baseline, and providing recommendations to management on mitigation strategies.
- Perform all aspects of risk analysis, specifically schedule risk assessment, and develop/maintain comprehensive risk registers and reports.
- Accumulate and access historical data, such as performance metrics, for use in maintaining a realistic basis for future planning and forecasting.
- Perform, and may lead staff qualified for the, assessment of impact(s) of design/construction changes and schedule slippages.
- Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

**What Required Skills You'll Bring**:

- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Construction Management or related field (or equivalent experience) and typically 12+ years of related work experience.
- Experience in large infrastructure construction projects, preferably from a PMC/Consultant side.
- Proven experience in handling planning and risk functions on large design projects, within a consultancy organization, is a must. Good communication skills (written and spoken) in English

- Experience leading workshops with various parties to discuss and agree strategies related to planning and/or risk.
- Strong collaboration skills and eagerness to promote teamwork environment.
