Industrial Hygienist

**Job description**:
We have a new opportunity with a major oil and gas client for an Industrial Hygienist on a contract basis. The position will be based in Doha with a duration of 3 years.
The Industrial Hygienist establishes and stewards an industrial hygiene (IH) audit program for the company Onshore Project in line with Project and company policies and procedures as well as regulatory requirements.
TECHNICAL AND BUSINESS SKILLS:
- A thorough knowledge of occupational health hazard recognition, monitoring and control.
- Thorough knowledge of hazardous material management.
- Excellent verbal and written English skills.
- Ability to develop IH related plans, procedures and documents, and review and comment on technical documents.
- Strong teamwork, facilitation, with the ability to communicate and interact at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to work with diverse cultures to obtain a world-class SHES performance.
- Team player who can effectively collaborate within Project Teams and with external parties.
- Establishes and sustains credibility with peers, subordinates and supervisors.
- Takes responsibility for own work products and can perform at high level without supervision.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- BSc in Health Sciences (Occupational Health, Public Health, Environmental Health, Industrial Hygiene), Chemical/Environmental Engineering, or Environmental Health/ Biological Sciences.
- International certification or training in Occupational Health, Industrial Hygiene, (e.g.: NEBOSH IGC in Occupational Health and Safety, Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC).
KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE:
- Strong prior experience in Industrial Hygiene.
- International experience in major oil & gas or construction projects.
- Knowledge of OSHA, ACGIH, NIOSH or other relevant regulations and guidelines
