We feature articles on chronic illness, exposés on political issues beyond the Western world, international debates on race, doctor-patient relationships, and much more. The DG Sentinel is an independent, non-partisan media site, queer-led and run by a majority-minority staff. We are supported by the international nonprofit, Dweebs Global, which provides free career development support and mental health mentorship to over 35 countries worldwide.

**What We’re Looking For**:

- Beauty and Fashion_

We’re looking for innovative and local beauty and fashion trends from different parts of the world. For instance, the continuing and popular cosmetic trend in Myanmar is Thanaka, which is the country’s traditional natural beauty resource. It is still widely used by Burmese women as a skincare product to keep their skin cool and protect against UV light. As for fashion, traditionally and currently, Burmese Longyi remains fashionable among both males and females in Myanmar. No matter which trend you’re covering, your content must contain your personal perspective, such as how you see the trend, why you think the trend suits you, etc.
- Travel and Culture_

Wherever you travel, you’re bound to come across the cultures of native people. We’re seeking your personal story of traveling to a new place (either to a different country or a local town). We also welcome a story of your hometown, such as the beauty that even local people don’t notice. Whatever it is, in your content, you should include unique features (historical stories, paintings, handicrafts, plays, etc.) that set them apart from other cultures while describing how they impact you and the feelings you have during your trip. Last but not least, we also welcome stories of immigrants who encounter cultural differences and how they are coping with that. There are many reasons for immigration, such as a country’s political and economic situation, and these “hidden” stories with a background theme of culture are welcomed too.
- Lifestyle and Relationships_

We are looking for articles about love: family love; romantic love; interracial/queer romance, toxic relationships, and stories about attachment to pets etc. Stories that involve doctors and patients who have to spend a long time in a hospital; for example, those who undergo chemo for cancer or the kids in the children's ward and their extended interactions with doctors, are accepted as well. If you’re a love expert or you just have experiences with loving, relationships, and lifestyle trends and choices, we would like to share your story with readers around the world. Whatever your story is, your content must reflect who you really are and what you want to say.

When you are ready to submit, please include your article along with a 50-100 word author bio written in third person. Both components should be in the same document. Along with your article and author bio be sure to:

- Be sure to choose a compelling title that encapsulates your work.
- The submitted piece should be an original work of the writer and must not have been published before.
- The writer can submit multiple articles.
- The accepted word count is 500-1500.
- We also accept pictures for articles that are relevant to the content.
