**About the role**:
As **Security Duty Officer **you will be responsible for the smooth running of all QR security operations at HIA/DIA and you will respond to security incidents as they arise. You will liaise with local law enforcement agencies to ensure security operations go unhindered. You will manage daily shifts in compliance with AOSP, SOPs and applicable local and international regulations and ensure that rosters and leave for the security operations team are managed and implemented efficiently based on operational requirements.

**Additional responsibilities**:
**Operational**:

- Under line manager’s instructions oversees security service providers who deliver services for QR operations at HIA and ensure adherence to SLAs to protect the interest of QR, avoiding unlawful acts of interference, theft, damage and fines.
- Support line manager in managing all security staff working in the respective domain of QR Security Operations at HIA/DIA to ensure security operations are carried out effectively.
- Work on an operational level with QRG internal and external stakeholders on a daily basis to enhance relationships with the security Authorities to improve coordination in security activities.
- Responsible for the security equipment, radios, vehicles, stationary in respective Domain and ensure all required equipment is available at locations.
- Supervise alcohol and drug testing and ensure records are maintained at all locations.
- Produce domain security shift report and distribute it by the end of shift to nominated management.
- Manages the daily absence and acts as first line of disciplinary handling by supporting Security Supervisors and security agents during the shift operations.
- Reports any administrative or security issues to security Duty Manager as and when required.
- Deputies the security Duty Manager as and when required and act as main point of contact for all QR security contracts at HIA, in the absence of Security Duty Manager

**Other Accountabilities**:

- Oversee and manage employees working in security Operations (Shifts) by managing and supporting the daily activities to ensure a high standard of service delivery.
- Train and develop other employees, to ensure proper work distribution is in place.

**Personal Development**:

- Take responsibility for own ongoing personal development and growth of expertise.
- Keep abreast with any market trends and developments.
- Assist in the response to any emergency or a major operational disruption affecting Qatar Airways or its subsidiaries, including support of the Qatar Airways Special Assistance program.
- Train Qatari staff in various duties as per business requirements.

**Data Protection**:

- Ensure that in performance of the role, all uses, disclosures and requests of any information (in any form) are done in accordance with data protection principles adopted by the QR group and are limited to what is reasonably required to accomplish the intended business purpose of the use, disclosure or request.
- Comply with all relevant company policies and procedures regarding the use, processing, disclosure and security of any information (if any form) and ensure that all staff under my direct supervision are aware of comply.
- Consult the group’s Data protection officer in matters related to data protection and privacy as appropriate.
- Ensure the confidentiality, security and protection of all information handled in the course of duties is maintained at all times from unauthorized access use, disclosure, disruption, deletion/destruction, corruption, modification, inspection or recording.

**Safety**:

- Ensure full awareness of work health and safety requirements and expectations in order to minimize health and safety risks for self and colleagues.
- Ensure compliance to all relevant safety, security, quality and environmental management policies, procedure ad controls across the operation to guarantee employee safety, security, legislative compliance, and delivery of high quality service with a responsible environmental attitude.
- Take a direct and personal interest in reported injuries, incidents, near misses ad hazards to ensure that appropriate reporting, investigation and response in being achieved.

**Environmental Competencies understand**:

- Contribute towards Qatar Airways Group Environments Objectives and targets.

Qualifications

**About you**:

- Operational experience in Aviation Security Supervision
- Previous experience of airline security.
- Expected to easily familiarize with all aspects of the organization, its activities and personnel
- Proven knowledge of investigation procedures and international terrorist activity
- Knowledge of the Airport Security Plan
- Knowledge of current security technology and security audit/surveys
- Knowledge of all aspects Airport Operations and Security
- Knowledge of NCASP, Qatar Airways Security Programme and Qatar Airways SOPs and LOPs.
- Knowledge of aviation law and IATA Principl
