**Primary purpose of job**
Support Head of Regasification to build a world class physical gas trading desk, execute all gas trades, representing the

front face for QatarEnergy Trading to global counterparties. Provide valuations of potential structured transactions, and run

a proprietary book, while complying with the risk management policies/guidelines.

**Experience & Skills**:

- Minimum 20 years work experience related discipline in energy sector, including experience in gas trading and operations.
- Possess a track record as a highly commercial and profit-focused professional, known for optimizing gas portfolios to drive

value creation.
- Display exceptional self-motivation and the ability to operate independently, consistently delivering results within

demanding timeframes.
- Demonstrate excellent attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and precision in all tasks.
- Exhibit strong commercial acumen, analytical prowess, and the capacity to make well-informed decisions even under

high-pressure circumstances.
- Possess an in-depth understanding of European gas operations, transportation systems, and the intricacies of the

interface between Upstream, Midstream and downstream sectors.
- Showcase extensive knowledge of European gas codes/regimes and their far-reaching implications for trading and

operational success.
- Exhibit adaptability and agility in response to shifting internal and external requirements.
- Display advanced proficiency in IT systems, encompassing gas operations platforms and MS Office Tools, notably Excel.
- Prior experience and a comprehensive background in gas trading and operations are essential prerequisites for this role.

**Education**
Bachelor’s degree in economics, Law, Business Administration or equivalent from an internationally recognized university.
Postgraduate Qualification (MSc. or MBA) preferred.
